This sounds WAY to complex for a new car. I suggest that you trade it in and buy a 2006 Tiburon with a 6-speed. That way, it will be covered under warranty. Even if the difference was $5,000, that will probably be less expensive than buying a new 6-speed (there won't be any in junkyards yet) and finding someone to do the conversion.

I recommend that you do a trade in and get the car you want with a full warranty.

Didnt see this question before the other one...
I guess this is the Car you want to drift in.

As far as parts...

Youll have to do the tranny mounts...bells...pedal cluster shifter box linkage tranny and clutch assembly ..
Not to mention the axels from the Manual donor car.
and a way to bypass the clutch and neutral switch, Manual ECU, master and slave cylinders and starter
Cutting may be needed and then welding of mounts...but again depends on the car.
then the last few steps is weling up the large hole the auto had and then installing the pedals and connecting all the linkage.
So basically if you have all the parts and take it to someone who knows what they are doing...anywhere from 2K-5K...but get all the parts yourself cause most places will really up the margins on parts.

If youre going MT on a import...you could always get a full clip that includes a manual tranny and engine all together...and do the swap from there...that way you pretty much have al the parts you need...let alone a few misc things.

If thats not attainable...I would try and find a wrecked one here in the states.
Wrecked ones can be found...if youre really interested in a wrecked 06 Tibby I can locate you one.

More than it's worth. You'll have to buy a new transmission, which will be in the 4-5k range, plus labor costs.

For that amount of money, you could find a nice new car or just save yourself the trouble and buy a used tib.

i own a repair shop,,and your looking at a lot of money to do this,,it would be a lot cheaper to go find the car you want,,believe me this is no way to go,,to get a 6 speed,,much cheaper to buy one,,and besides,,for all the parts you would need,,it would take a while just to get all them gathered up to do the job,,and by the time you got it done,,you would have enough in that car to go out and buy another car,,i hope this help,s.
