Switch is in mode to blow out front vents, but only blows out the defrost vents? any ideas on the fix or info on how the escape duct selection works?

you have a vacuum problem, check your vacuum source, its a black canister on the passenger fenderwell and make sure vacuum is getting there and then into the dash board. you could have a bad selector switch or a vacuum line of under the dash

You could have a bad selector switch, or a bad selector solenoid. It may even have an obstruction preventing the selector solenoid from opening or closing a vent door. I would recommend checking all vent doors to see if they are unobstructed, and operate the doors manually until you get air blowing out of the front vents. After you find the right door, you could trace it electronically to see why it is not operating....Good luck

This project occurs while the vacuum operated mode administration door looses that is vacuum sign. The default place is to flow to the defrost mode. in many cases a vacuum line falls off the vacuum line connector through fact some has been those days working decrease than the hood and accidently bumped it. seem close to the hearth wall for a black plastic vacuum hose that is in basic terms putting someplace. close by must be the vacuum nipple it attaches to.

Should be a gear drive electric damper motor assy. Sometimes the gear breaks inside. I think it will be under the dash above the accelerator pedal. They cost around 40 bucks for the replacement. Dealer item only. Good luck.
