I have spots, or pits on my car. I waxed it a couple of weeks ago, but maybe I didn't do a good enough job. The same spots appear on my windshield as well. No matter how much windex or other windo cleaner I use, they don't go away....any suggestions?

Try washing the car and windows with vinegar. You probably have hard water spots on it. There are some detergents out there that etch glass and paint. It you made the mistake of using on of those then you probably will have to replace the glass and get the car repainted.

Sounds like hard water spots that dried in the sun. Wash the car using dish soap out in the sun? This will do it.

Without seeing them first hand it is hard to say exactly what it is or what the repair would be. But here are some tricks of the trade.

1. on the glass, try some #0000 steel wool and foaming window cleaner.

2. on the glass, foaming glass cleaning and a fresh razor blade. Go in one direction and only use one side of the blade, to use 2nd side will cause scratches.

3. on the paint, rub the spots with lacquer thinner. Yes I said lacquer thinner. Re-wax over the spots.

4. on the paint, go to a local auto body supply store or NAPA and buy some 3M Finesse-IT. This is the compound most good body shops use to buff a car back up after sanding it from painting. Using a fresh towel put product on towel and rub each spot with muscle. Circlular motion is best. Re-wax after as this is a compound.

5. find a local detail shop or mobile paint touch up guy and have them take a look at it. I would aim more at people who deal with Lexus, BMW, Rolls over a basic shop as basic shops will just mask the spots with product. The high line guys normally have true knowledge and will fix the problem, not mask it.

6 the paint, have a detail shop perform a risky process called "acid paint removal". This is performed with a special cream compound that actually flips the paint chemically. It drives the issues down into the paint and pulls fresh paint up. This process can only be done once in the life of a car and done by anyone without total skill will result in a repaint of that panel.

Find a GOOD car wash and spend plenty of time getting close to those spots. There is also a wax out there that is color mated, so that you buy the color that matches you car that works fairly well. IN MY OPINION IT AIN'T WAXING UNLESS YOU SUPPLY THE ELBOW GREASE TO MAKE IT REALLY WORK!!!!

Well make sure yrou cleaning the inside and the outside. As for spots you may have to go in with a fingernail and scratch the build up off. then go back with a squeegy and clean it off with windex
