Someone punched in my passenger side tail light on my Saturn Ion and now I have to spend $80-$90 to replace it. (I'm not going to report it to my insurance b/c the deductible is more than the cost to replace it.) Has this happened to anyone else here? Why do people do this to someone they don't even know? This sucks.

The so talked about as "undeniable Sight Doctrine" provides police the right to seek your motorized vehicle if there is in undeniable sight interior the motorized vehicle something it truly is unlawful. which ability the officer cant flow something or open something to verify no matter if the element is prohibited or not. See Harris v. ny the glaring scent doctrine can serve an analogous function. If there is an scent of marijuana in a motorized vehicle, or of alcohol on a drivers breath, this provides reason for a glance for not purely of the motorized vehicle yet of the man of the motive force and possibly any and all passengers to boot.. except those 2 circumstances, separat4e likely reason is needed for any extra seek for of the motorized vehicle. it would want to be said that the motive force and/or the registered proprietor has status to refuse to consent to a warrantless seek for of the motorized vehicle. See Rakas v. unwell. yet, there are exceptions which allow for inventory searches interior the case of a lawful arrest and/or an impounded motorized vehicle. See Opperman v. SD

I was in law enforcement for 9 years and have found that 99% of crimes against property are committed by cowards. Regardless of the circumstances...

exhibit A: late at night hoodlums getting roudy decide to do some damage. Why? Because they are too chickenshit to do anything like that in the daytime with witnesses.

exhibit B: Scorned lover decides to key her boyfriends car while he's at work. Why? because she's too chickenshit to take it out on him.

Oh hell... the list could go on and on and on and on and on.

Has it happened to me? Yes. In high school a kid that didn't like me broke the antenna off my car while I was in class. A couple of days later I found out who it was... did I go do something to his car? NO! I promptly found him in the parking lot before school the next day and proceded to break my foot off in his ***. I even found my antenna laying in the floorboard of his car. The teachers got to me before I was able to extend the antenna and whip him in the face with it.

It was well worth the 3 day suspension. That was also back in 1985. Back when people settled their problems outside instead of inside a courtroom.

BTW: call a junkyard.. they have spare parts out the nose, cheap as hell to. Typically only need to call one because their computers are all hooked togather over a nationwide search engine. You should be able to get the part for about half price at least.

If you have comprehensive coverage, it may be all covered by your insurance company, with no cost to you at all
