My Aunt is going to give me her car, she paid it off but then found out that there are still fees owed to the bank.So they haven't given her the title. How do you go about transfering a car this way? Obviously I will pay the fees but where do I start? With the Bank? Or the DMV? Any info would help! Thanx!

bought a new car at a large new car dealership 2 months ago. even though i paid cash i still have not received my title. i have now been told it takes 3 - 4 months to get my title. this is the 2nd time i have run into this at this dealership. last time it took 2 months. what is the benefit to the dealership to hold on to this title? i have bought the same brand from a different dealership and received the title in about 2 weeks. got a good deal and like the dealership but this is ridiculous. their excuse is the are a large dealership my thought would be that a large dealership wpuld have better service and contacts not fewer. there must be some financial reason to this but i just can't figure out what it is. obviously they have my money and my car title but it would seem that using legal accounting practices they couldn't claim both as their's or can they???

Someone told me that car rental places have special rates for insurance claims, is this true?

I do not have "substitute transportation" on my insurance, and am unsure if I will be found at fault for the accident, will I qualify for this rate if it exists?

Thanks.

My husband died from a blood clot after a motorcycle accident. The other vehicle was in the wrong. They only have minimum insurance and nothing to sue for. Can I sue the insurance company for my loss over what they sold coverage for?

State Farm has a list of their most stolen cars. Among the top 5 are the Civic and the Accord.

Is anyone reading this insured with State Farm and have a Civic or Accord? Were you told about this when you signed the policy?

She has a better driving record but I will be the one using the car more frequently, though she will probably drive it greater distances when she uses it to commute. I will mostly use it to go to my local train station and park.

Long story short. Not my fault. I can not take this up with my insurance company because I don't have one. We got his info. My car has 140K miles on it. It's worth about 2K. It wouldn't be worth it to fix it. I decided to get the estimate and put the cash to another car. I have not signed anything yet.

Insurance Company Quoted $1013.76
Auto Body Shop $1162.04
Ford Dealership $1284.90

271.14 difference. I asked to split the difference between the auto body shop and the Ford dealership. The Insurance compnay ofcourse said no. What should I do? If I had gone to an auto body repair shop of my choice with 1013.76 in hand they would have called the insurance compnay and asked for them to kick down more money. So I think it's fair that I get more cash. Don't even get me started on the medical. My health insurance is getting billed. Not the insurance company.

Heya,
About 1 month ago I was involved in an accident. A lady hit my car door with the side of her car, bent my door and messed up my quarter panel. 2900$ in repairs. I only have liability insurance. It says on my copy of the police report her car was the primary contributor. But on the report my insurance company got from the police it says it was my fault. I was stopped and parked in paralell parking that is slightly offset from the street. Her company denied my claim. Are there any other options for me or am I just screwed?

If a driver in an accident was found to be knowingly and voluntarily participating in either an illegal or irresponsible accident and that led to the accident (i.e. DUI, speeding, talking on the cell phone, etc...), can insurance companies lower the coverages that person has because of these actions? Do any insurance companies build this into their policies?

i recently was in a minor fender bender with a person, the damages were under 1000.00 i agreed to pay this person damages my self, instead of claimimg it on my auto insurance, but the problem is that this person want me to pay full a mount of bill, and i dont think thats fair, so i asked some friends, and family and the advice they gave was that this person have to assume the deductible, because thats the law, this person cant expect u to pay ther their deductible and labor, and car parts, even their insurance company wont do that weither it was her fault are not she is expected in any situation weither its gonna be payed personally by you,are ur insurance company, are her insurance company, to pay a reasonable deducted amount, so my question is can some of u give me some advice before i pay this bill? thank you..

I had an accident with an older women two days ago, and I have no insurance. She is going to get an estimate tommorow, becuase I told her I wanted to settle the costs myself becuase my insurance was high(but I lied I have none)

My question is, can I buy insurance tonight or early tommorow and lie about when the accident occured to allow her to make a claim?

Arent there time restrictions in place to prevent this kind of insurence fraud(5-10 days befor you can file a claim)

If I cant get insurance, what can she pursue legally against me? She didnt call the police about the accident and now its 2 days later.

The damege looked to be around 400$ worth, I do intend to cover the costs of repair myself, but cannot immidiatly do this, in the meantime, do I face jail time or suspension of my license?

Has anyone been through this? what should I do?

AAA is not very reliable and gets more expensive every year....If you have AAA and like it, keep it to yourself....AAA is different from state to state. I'm looking for a motor club other than AAA.
*If it helps i'm from Virginia Beach, Va.

Sorry for my use of generalizations, but its no big secret.
reputable: American Family, State Farm, Farmers etc
"cheap": progressive, geico, etc.
why are my quotes 3 times higher for the reputable, is it worth the drastic rate increase?
