I had a car accident in NSW over the weekend and hit two other cars. I am at fault but I had no third party insurance, only Compulsory... so I am waiting for the bills... The two car owners i hit are letting their insurance companies deal with it. Does anyone know what happens next, do they send a bill in the mail? do they call us? I didnt have the opportunity to do anything at the time, we went straight in the ambulancec and the police and others took care of the rest.

So I was in an accident that was not my fault and it totally smashed my new car. The other driver has insurance. I want to know if i should go to the hospital. I'm not hurt bad I guess but I am having a lot of pain in my back, neck, shoulder and hip. This happened three days ago and it was all so fast that I didn't go to the hospital and didn't notice the pain til yesterday. What should I do? How will this effect a settlement?

So I just got a 99 durango in oct. and the other day a girl turned left in a right turn only intersection right in front of me as I was going thru the green light. No one went to the hospital but the front of my car is totally smashed. I just found out my landlord is selling my home and the company I work for is closing. I NEED my car to find work, a new home and move? What am i supposed to do? Can I ask for more money besides what the cost of damage to my car for the inconvience this has put on me? How can I get the best settlement? And all you bleeding hearts out there can spare the bs about of how you think I'm wrong for seeking money for an accident. This was the last thing I needed and I think I should be compensated.

I had an auto policy w/ Liberty Mutual for one year. My policy was due to expire on 7/26/06. I was sent paperwork and a bill to renew my policy in June, but I did not sign anything, or send any payments, because I was looking to get a cheaper policy. Long story short, I cancelled my policy on 9/5/2006, and went with another, cheaper company. Now, I let my prior policy lapse for a little over a month. I'm getting letters in the mail from a collection company, saing that I owe them $330. Which is my annual premium! Should I just pay the full amount, and suffice the company, enen though I only lapsed for a month? Im afraid that they will report me to someone(my new insurance Co., or DMV), saying I drove w/o insurance for a month. Or should I fight it? I'd rather pay the extra hundred dollars, and not be reported than to pay less, and get introuble w/ my new insurance policy. What should I do? I cant afford to pay the entire amount, anyway!!

I was recently involved in a four car pile up that was not my fault as i was car number two in a line of four. Does anybody know who needs to accept liability? Does everyone take responsibility for the person they hit or does the person at the back take responsibility for it all. It's just obviously cars 2 and 3 wouldn't have hit the cars in front of them if they hadn't been shunted from behind.

Am i the only one who thinks that people who have no insurance have no business even being on the road? It's so stupid that where i'm from, and the way i carry myself, it makes it so crazy for people like to me to have to deal with pieces of trash who choose to drive with no insurance!

Last month, i was in an accident. I was driving down a street and missed my turn. I was taking a passenger home when this happened. So i went down a street, pulled into a driveway, and pulled out into the street. There was a car coming from about 200 feet away. The thing to do in his case would be to stop, right? WRONG! This "person" plowed right into my passenger door and put a nice bend in my car! After estimates, it's gonna cost me about $600 just to get my car fixed! Now, to add insult to injury, the guy who hit me had no license, insurance, or registration! When i went to file a report, the cop told me it was my fault 'cause i was in the way! Should i be at fault for this?

If you have 2 cars, and one car has a guaranteed secure safe 5 years no claims on the form, and the other one doesn't, if you crash the one that doesn't do you lose your whole 5 years no claims, even though your other car has a no claims guartantee on it, and is insured by the same company??

I was riding on my bike when a school bus with young children inside knocked me down. Luckily only the bike had damages. It was a hit and run but of course I managed to find him. Reported him to my insurance company, his insurance company and the police. I will sue him. What can I sue him for?

One would think that the purpose of a vehicle license plate is for ID purposes. If that were the case why have two on a vehicle? One plate can tell you everything you need to know and 99% of the time the rear plate is the one used to "run" info on a vehicle, not the front of the car (what cop drives towards you and starts to run information?). My gas meter has one ID number on it; I have one drivers license, my home address is only posted in the front not the back. I would never believe that the truth of the matter is simply the fleecing of citizens?

I live in Wisconsin and havent had insurance in about four years. I am getting married in six months and my fiance's insurance agent said that I should get insurance now, six months before the wedding, so that once we get married and I get added onto his insurance, I won't raise his insurance since I am considered high risk since I havent had insurance the last six months or more. So, if I get insurance on my won for six months, it will be high risk for those six months, but then six montsh from now, I won't be high risk, which will be good becasue six months from now is when i would get married and added onto his insurance.

Now, I am going to get insurance on a car that doesn't have a loan on it, and I am wondering how much insurance I need? What is the least amount of insurance I could get on my car, so that in six months I won't be high risk anymore?

P.S. I live in Wisconsin, where it isn't illegal if you don't have insurance on your car.

It was the TINIEST of scratches, but the man insisted on making a big fuss. I managed to convince him to accept some cash to resolve the dispute. Can he now turn around and scam me by involving his insurance company? Or is there some sort of law that protects me from this happening? I ask because I am only a young student and have very little flexibility from my own insurance company. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
