I never got a parking ticket before so i dont know what is going on. It says he has my Vin but its a letter and 3 numbers. Arent Vin numbers like 10 digits long?. he also wrote an expiration date, of what? If the police got that vin number from entering a license plate into the system then does that mean that vin is wrong since he wrote my license number wrong?

I know you get a free re-test within 2 weeks or so, but f' that; Am I allowed to fix my car, go to another inspection station, pay again, cross my fingers, and go to a different station? Went to the DPS website, but found nothing helpful !

My license in NC was revoked about 2 or 3 years ago because of unpaid non-moving violations in NY that occured after I moved (the car was on the street in front of my old house with no insurance I think, and the tags may have been expired or not even on the car) The person who was supposed to take it to a junkyard left it there for about 2 weeks.
My question is, how were they able to revoke my license over parking tickets?? Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this? is there a possibility that I can apply for a new license since its been so long? I just bought a car and I need to register it asap. I really appreciate any help, thank you!

I was driving a good distance away from someone on the highway, doing 65-70. The entire roof of their car was covered in ice and a huge sheet of it came off, flew about 30 feet in the air, and slowly came down and hit my car. It caused a lot of damage to my bumper. I called the police and they did not cite him for it. I think he is very negligent and he should be responsible. Even my insurance company won't take my side. What should I do now?

I left my car at the car shop to get it fixed at 2 p.m. He told me to come back the next day to pick it up. I get a call the next morning and he leaves a voicemail saying "your car is bad luck, it got stolen." He said he LEFT MY KEYS IN THE CAR & left the door unlock along with all the other cars that were there. The "theif" took 1 of the trucks which also had a key inside and used it to ram through the gates. (The gates r sliding gates with a lock on it) They turned the camera up. (The camera was on the roof 30 feet in the air) Does anything sound suspicous?
I only have liability. I couldnt afford full coverage insurance becuase i lost my job and any extra money i have goes to the my baby. there is a sign that at the shop that says not responsible for theft or break ins.
Its a $13,000 that hasnt been paid off yet. I just put in 4 brand new tired for it. Plus a new battery costing me about $600. I have my babys WIC vouchers for her enfamil plus very expensive tools in there.

I just switched from Progressive to Geico (and saved almost $1200 per year!) How and when do I notify Progressive that I'm cancelling my policy with them? (My coverage with Progressive ends March 4th, and my coverage with Geico starts on March 3rd). I've heard that I must notify Progressive in writing; does Geico provide some sort of form or document to give the old company or do I have to actually type out a letter to Progressive?

Hi,
I bought a second car, the insurance on my first car allows me to drive any other vehicle with the owner's permission. Is it illegal to not insure my second car?

I'm going to buy auto insurance and the rates I'm getting are pretty low, $72.00 per month (Progressive) and $92.00 (Geico). But I picked the state's lowest minimum coverage that was available, and I was wondering if it's safe/okay to do that?

Thanks :)

The other night someone was diving my car and hit a trash dumpster that was in the street. It was late at night on a dark road so he didn't see it, will I still be coverage? I am not gonna tell the insurance company that someone else was driving it.

I have a 1998 toyota 4 runner. 140,000 miles. It is paid off. I currently have collision and comp $150+ every 6 months. Should I drop that and when do you? I could save 30 - 50 if raise it to 1000.

Hey, I'm new to this because before today I've never been in an accident. Well I was driving home from school and me and another man both lost control of our vehicles, however we just barely scraped each other. My car has a small dent thats hardly noticeable and his car had a small dent that was hardly noticeable and a scratch or a little bit of chipped paint whatever you want to call it.

He called the police and he wrote down all our information and filed the report. The damage was so minimal that the guy who I "wrecked into" said he wouldn't have cared the only reason he filed the report is because he was driving a company car and he needed proof that the cause of the scratch was an accident. I was telling him how I've never been in an accident and I was worried about how much this would cost.. He said its no big deal let the insurance handle it. Of course I know this will make the rates go up. Will the rate go up being it was an insignifigant accident? I live in PA if it helps

Here's the situation, I just bought a car of a local man and I did get a title for the car. The problem is, that when Iwent to get a tag for this car, the dmv receptionist stated that because the price on the back of the title was changed, she could not give me a tag. What can I do? I know some of you say bring the title back to the seller and have him redo one for me, but I haven't been able to get in contact with him.

When I pumped air to my tires, a truck backed accidentally and damaged the rear bumper of my car and front bumper was also damaged as a result of hitting the post of the air pump. The driver acknowledged his fault completely. He wanted to settle the damage privately but changed his mind due to high cost. Now the insurance co. are involved.Do I have to pay the deductible? Will this accident affect my insurance history in the future?

As I was moving off at a junction on a hill, I slid no more than a foot or two backwards and hit the car behind. Its driver got out and made an enormous fuss, claiming I'd scratched the front of his car. Initially, I was so overwhelmed by his bluster that I accepted his claim and gave him my phone number and address. But after looking more closely at the scratch I realized it was old. I challenged him on this and then reversed my car back onto his to prove to him that I had only made contact with his license plate. Eventually he was forced to accepted this, and admit that I was not responsible for the scratch. I drove off under the impression that no damage had be done. Later, however, he rings me and claims that I had damaged his parking sensors. Is it possible I did? How can he prove it was me? Am I liable? He does not have my insurance details (although he has my address and my car registration)
