The last 2 times I've done it I had it back in about a week.

I guess it all depends on how busy they are

As an extra point make sure you take a photocopy of both parts of the licence before parting with it, and check that the new one is correct in every detail. It's not unknown for some driving entitlements to get missed off a new issue, and you only have a short time while they keep the old documents to challenge them.

Not long I say no more than 2 weeks

I handed mine in on a Weds afternoon at the reception in Swansea I was told it should arrive back that Friday or Saturday and it arrived Friday morning, very fast. Considering I didn't post it through Royal mail and go through all the sorting process.

I don't know where your from, but an officer pulled me over not too long ago, and he updated my address right from his police car for me in Arizona.
