Dad had bought vehicle, he died. He had applied for the credit life(which didn't go through). Someone signed off title and sent to my mom(department of motor vehicle and lawyer, say it's a clear title. Company now keeps calling her telling her they are going to turn her over to collections(only 3 payments were made), and that the title they sent her is a temporary, that they will make a new one if she doesn't send that one back. I am her daughter, and I feel like someone at company messed up(big time) and that the vehicle does belong to her now.

How can I secure a car title or lien release letter from Citigroup Financial who bought my original finance company Transouth.
I've been getting the run around from them stating they have no record of my car and car payoff 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I do not recall my account number with original finance company (transouth). Can someone advise me on how to secure a title and or lien release letter so I can sell the car?
In advance, thanks for your assistance.

Does it have a limit on the amount of reimbursements I can send?It says, "We will pay personal injury protection benefits because of bodily injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident and sustained by a covered person. Our payment will only be for losses or expenses incurred within three years from the date of the accident." When I was talking to them on the phone, she said there was a limit of $2500 of the amt of reimbursements but this doesnt say that.

Does any one notice that we shell out thousands of dollars from our income for car insurance, and the insurance company gives us nothing back? Sure, if we get into a car accident, they cover the costs, but then they raise your rate. And you are paying far more than the cost of the accident anyway. And then if you don't get into an accident, what is all that money for? They don't give it back.

I just think its odd that we are required by law to pay for nothing, after we already have paid for the car. And then if you don't, you are penalized and punished, so you are given no choice. But really, you're paying all this money and getting nothing back. WTF

You don't have to tell your insurance company about DR10 after 5 years - Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. So why is it that you can insure your own car without any problems, but you are unable to hire a car because of the DR10? Are hire car companies above the law?

I am going to borrow a friend's car while living in California. The car is registered in my friend's state, but I'll be driving it in CA. What do I need to do to avoid running afoul of the state's 20-day rule? I don't own the car and do not plan on buying it anytime soon.

I was stopped and given a fixed penalty for having no insurance. I was given 6 points and a 200 quid fine. I am going to court as my insurance company sent the renewal then cancellation letter to a random address and they admit it, but as far as I know, I may be able to reduce the fine in court, but has anyone had the points dropped down to less than 6 in court? as I believe this can't be done? I had no insurance for 5 weeks and had no idea at all that the company had cancelled it until I got stopped and checked. Has anyone been in this situation please?

i got into a car accident yesterday. my policy just started yesterday as well (i know i know). i have liability, my car was totaled, theirs has relatively minor damage compared to mine. their passenger went to the hospital. i was fine. i'm pretty sure it was my fault. so i know my car isn't going to get covered on this. my question is, i am getting a new car and i wanted to know if it was legal for the insurance company to drop me now or if they have to wait until the policy is up (which is 6/18). i already know my rate is going to go up so that is not my question.
