For personnel reasons, it is illegal therefore a civillian cannot do this

If it's for an accident such as a hit/run or a law was broken, you can obviously contact police and they take it from there. Otherwise, I would suggest you contact the county treasurer's office or wherever it is you register your vehicle. If they do it, the may charge a fee and you would likely have to do it in person or request it in writing. Other than that, the police buddy is your only chance.

That is a little scary to me!!

I hope if someone wants to find me by my vehicle that it is impossible unless it is for a really good reason. Really think about another way you can contact this person or run intoy them again,unless there was a problem that needs to be handles by the police. Surly you will see them again. Just try to be in the same place at the same time again.

U have to got to eh DMV and pay $25 and you have to give them ur name and number!!!
Or you give it to ur Isurance company and they can find it!!!
But u only can search if you have a reason!!! Like an wreck!!

you have to go through some one who is authorized to do that because that is personal information..... like the police if it's for an accident.
