I was rearended by another driver while my car was parked. The other driver admitted it was thier fault. My rear bumper is cracked, theres a dent in the rear side and trunk and a cracked tial light. The police report also says it was the other drivers fault. The other drivers insurance adjuster is coming out to look at the damage to give me an estimate. Only problem is a few day ago I got in another accident(my fault this time) and cracked and dented my front bumber. When I took it to my mechanic he told me get the front bumber fixed before the adjuster comes out because if they see the car has been in another accident, then they will give me less money to fix the rear damage, is this true? What should I do?

p.s. does anybody know how much it would cost me to get a cracked front bumber fixed out of pocket.

Thanks

I would like insurance for a renault clio 1.2 third party fire and theft.
Is there anyway I can put it on my insurance details without having my dad or mum who drives as first driver?
And so they will not loose their no claims bonus!

I have the opportunity to take over payments on a car. Since the title is not in my name, how can I get auto insurance for this car until the title is transferred into my name? I'd heard there is a form that the owner can sign that verifies that I will be the only one driving this vehicle. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I'm using my parents insurance but my name isn't listed on their policy, not even as an occasional driver because it'll cost too much. Of course an insurance agent will tell you that the car won't be covered if i were to drive it and get into an accident, since my name isn't listed. However, If worse comes to worse and i were to seriously get into a car accident would they cover it as a first chance or are they serious about not covering the car if it get the car totaled.

I was in a minor parking-lot fender-bender on Saturday. I was at the mall and all of the parking spots were filled up and I had to park way in the back but there was a lot going on because there were all of theses promotional tents up. I found a spot between two cars and was moving in but it was kind of tight because they were both parked so close to the boundary line so I had to pull out to straighten up and I bumped into one of the cars and it left a dent about the size of a hand. It was a promotional car for a local car dealership and the promoters were there and they got my information and stuff from my license, but I didn't have insurance so I told them i had left it at home. Anyway, the police didn't arrive to file a report or anything and I have insurance now (i didn't have it before cos my parents had cut it off) but I got it after the fact. I am a very poor college kid and I hardly have money for food, much less a settlement. I'm reallydistraught! What should I do?

The insurance company is ready to settle. They offered me 350.00. If I remember right, when I was in an accident about 10 years ago, they said that the typical pain and suffering settlement is 2-3 times medical bills. I know that my medical bills are much more than that because they took about 15 X-Rays at the ER on the day after it happened.

About three weeks ago, I got into a rear end collision with a car because of some stupid taxi. Anyways, after getting into the collision we stopped at a gas station and looked at the damage. My front bumper had a tiny bit of paint chipped of and their rear bumper had like 2 one inch scratches, it was really really minor. Anyways we both decided that insurance nor the police wasn't necessary so the only information we exchanged was a cell phone number and driver's liscence number. They said they would call me with an estimate so I can pay them. About a week ago, they called back and said they need the entire bumper to be replaced and I need to come up with 480 dollars. I think this is absurd considering the bumber was not dent or cracked in any way shape or form. I figured they would just have to repaint it. I'm a student and have no job so I can barely make that amount of money. Can I just play stupid and avoid their phone calls? Or can they go through insurance and still get me?

I was in a 3 car accident. I was car #2. Car #1 was in front of me and car #3 was behind me. Car #3 hit me into Car#1. My insurance had lapsed without my knowledge due to a payment not received. So, due to me not having insurance Car #3 (Geico) said I'm not entitled to anything ( I did file a claim) for my damages and I have to pay 50% of the damage to Car #1. It doesn't seem fair. Oh, this happened in New Jersey. So is there anything I can do?
