The insurance company is never anxious to pay out, so you will have to do something soon. I hope that you have a police report and damage assessment from a car shop immediately after the accident. The first is to prove the occurance and fault. The second is to prove the degree of liability. The insurance company will want to minimize the amount they have to pay out, and two weeks is more than enough time for you to incur other damages to your vehicle, or so they will want to claim. Get an estimate of repairs in writing ASAP from a legitimate car shop. If the vehicle was towed, then get proof of the car being in the custody of the towing company (on their property) is sufficient to reject assertions that claimed damages to your vehicle are unrelated to the original incident.
I would call their insurance company with the police report and a timely, professional repair/damages assessment and if they don't respond quickly then call your insurance company for assistance.
If you file with your insurance company, they will immediately look to the other insurance company if it is their patron's fault 100%. Ultimately the money goes from the insurance company to you and added links in the chain slow and complicate the process.
One thing I see too few people do after accidents, is take everyone to the hospital IN THE AMBULANCE (if the crash occurs at 10mph or more, seriously). During high stress events, our bodies are flooded with endorphins and other chemicals which seriously impair our ability to preform an accurate damage assessment, and depending on the situation, 10mph (a VERY fast run) is typically more than enough speed to cause serious injury, especially in the spine, neck, and head; especially with large trucks and side and rear impacts. Make sure that you present the insurance company with those bills, too.

You should have called YOUR insurance company and filed a claim. Then your insurance company will get the money from their insurance company. That way if anything shady happens then you do not have to worry about it, your insurance company will handle it.
Make sure you have any witness phone numbers, or the cops info. People will try anything to get out of paying money.

a lot of times when people are at fault they are reluctant to report to their insurance companies, maybe hoping that you will go away...call the person and then call their insurance company
