I live in California, so if you are not from Cali please don't answer this. Is there any way I can get 1 point taken off of my driving record?? This is severly hindering me getting a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You think that people from other states don't know the answers to your questions? I lived in California most of my adult life, but retired out of the left coast. The only thing that will take points off your CA license once they are on there is for the time to pass without any new points being added. That will be from 3 to 5 years, depending on the severity of the convictions.

Traffic school only helps BEFORE, not after the fact.

I don't know if you can get points taken off after the fact. What I do is never let the points get on there from the beginning, if I get a tickets, I will ask the court to let me go to traffic school, that way my record remains clean and my insurance doesn't go up.

You might call the dmv and see if there is soemthing you can do to erase points form your record.

Typically you can get positive points if you attend a defensive driving class. Contact your insurance company or AAA - they should be able to provide you with a list of applicable courses in your area.

if you have a CDL you cant new law prohibits us from getting points taken off...Other wise you can go to traffic school or talk to the judge and see if he can get it removed

....there is only one way that i can think of, and thats to go to driving school....thats the only way i know of when it comes to removing points
