Ok ive been wondering for about 2 weeks now what it means when a cop stops me and asks for my license and registration. The more accuate part of what i want to know is what the regisration part is. I know the license is my driver license, but what is the other part mean and for?

I have heard that Massachusetts insurance companies are typically independent of California insurance companies. As a consequence, California insurance companies wont have access to my records in Mass. This would mean that my old claims/history won't affect my new insurance policy in California. Can someone tell me if this true.

This question is in continuation of my previous question. As everybody agreed that after 3 years of an accident, that accident doesn't affect your insurance. I had an accident more than 3 years ago. I didn't have insurance during that period, now I am filling an application for a quote on insurance and there is a question in it that whether I had any accident during last 6 years. Should I mention the accident or not. whether insurance company will know in any case that I had an accident?

I recieved a 1967 barracuda from my uncle a couple of weeks ago. When i got it i asked for the title but he said he didnt have it. He told me the owner before he bought it lost the title. I am in the process of restoring it but i dont want to put much more time into it untill i have a title. What can i do???

The damage to the car is from hail and I've already received an appraisal but I would like to know if I can get a check from my insurance company instead of getting the repairs done. Basically, do I have to spend the money on repairs or can I keep it?

I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee that truck runs so good and someone stole it Tuesday.The police up here in the Washington DC area seem like they're taking there time.My pocket book and everything was in the truck so I can't get a rental.Any idea on how long it takes b4 they usually recover a stolen vehicle?

This guy rear ended me while I was at a red light the other night. It left a softball-sized dent in my bumper, and on my rear quarter panel. I could'nt find my insurance card, and he could'nt find his. He said he would rather take care of it ourselves. He told me to take it to a body shop and he'll pay for it. My question is, do I still have rights if he decides to flake, since I called niether the police, or insurance company.

i need to get a euro 1 certificate to prove that the car is made and in EU and belongs to the EU community . and i don't know how to go about it .
I don't have an number for the spanish customs and i don't really know what to do, as without euro1 i can't register the car in Romania. can anybody advise?

I was at the toll plaza and it was bumper to bumper traffic. I took my eyes away from what was immediately in front of me (someone almost hit me to the side!) and i tapped someone's 89 Volvo. I tapped it pretty hard but certainly did no damage. And there's is no possibility of bodily injury. After talking to him for a few moments it became evident that he is going to pursue this- he is just the type. He's going to try and milk it and exploit the situation. How much can he get? How much will my rates go up?
BTW- he had used a lane you are not supposed to use as a passing lane and had cut in front of me a couple minutes earlier. He has a cracked tail light but it was from a previous accident. I am sure he will try to pin it on me. We have the same insurance companies.

Is it AT ALL possible for me to be on someone's auto insurance who lives in North Carolina. I live in Georgia, and my insurance will be about $400 without his insurance coverage (I just got my license and Im 20...lol). So i have car insurance with "non insured motorist" coverage on it, my car was parked at a restaurant and it was hit from behind the problem is the vehicle that hit me has Mexico plates and it was a hit and run, unfortunatly he can't be tracked cause he has out-of-country plates, what can i do, btw my rear bumper is messed up. will my insurance company make me pay for it?
