i don't understand why you need to go to another state are you tryin to hide something?

Depends on state laws of your state and Arizona and it also depends on whether or not the company you are working with is licensed to insure vehicles in Arizona.
I work for an NC insurance company and we are licensed only in NC. So my company cannot insure vehicles in other states. However, we SOMETIMES can work with people that are originally from NC but are in another state due to college or military reasons. Although, doing this can be rather difficult to deal with.
Why are you needing insurance in Arizona anyway if you don't live there? If you are simply traveling through Arizona, like on a trip or for some other temporary reason, then it is not necessary to take out insurance in that state. As long as the insurance in your current state is active, you are fine.

As long as that company is licensed to do business in your state, and issues your state's approved policy, it doesn't matter where the insurance company is located.
You can't get AZ insurance if you live in TX, for example. You could buy a TX policy from an AZ insurance company licensed to do business in TX.
There are exceptions if you are active duty military or a college student attending school out of state.

Sure you can. BUT, the state you live in will probably revoke your drivers license because you don't have insurance in the state in which you live/keep the car.
