We live in Colorado, and we are here for the military. We are picking up a truck in Seattle & driving it home. The truck's WA registration is expired. Do we go to the DMV in Washington to get a temportary registration, or do we have to register it there for the year?

they cancelled my car insurance, which I was going to do anyway, but they're reporting it, which means I'll have a suspended license. I have no problem turning in my plate to avoid any hassles, but how do I do it from Illinois? Can I turn it in here? Also, after I turn it in, will I have to call someone and tell them to avoid suspension, or will it automatically show up in their computer system?

My dad got a Tahoe in June2006(he had signed one of those credit life policies). He died in August2006(we didn't no till then about him signing credit life, he did have all the illnesses on application, he and dealer, loan manager(which they both knew dad had all illnesses) still let him apply. So death happened, mom went to dealership and signed to release credit life(they would have to give back policy money, never happened). We've been writing and calling the company trying to see how to put in my mom's name. Some one I guess messed up and sent her title(so if she has a clear title showing my dad as owner, then she doesn't owe anything does she.(No more payments for Tahoe, free and clear). I f someone please give me honest answer, would appreciate it, thanks

I was driving uphill and stoped behind a 1989 Toyota at a stop sign, the sun was hitting my front window so it was kinda hard to see, anyway the car in front of me moved so I asssume I am the next one but he suddenly stopped again as the result I hit the car, he came out and asked me if I want to go through insurance or personally since the damage looks not bad at all i said just settle it personally, so he said he will call me to tell me how much, i give him my phone and plate number only and then today he called me back said the repair is going to be 1000+ dollars, I said there is no way that the repair will cost that much, then he said he will have to go to the police! Now i don't know what to do, should i pay him or call my insurance or just ignore him since there was no witness at the accident anyway. Please advice! thank you

While my car was being repaired under warrenty my wife - a named driver - was given a courtesy car. Unfortunately as she left the garage she clipped a security bollard and damaged the rear wing of courtesy car.

When I spoke to the garage they said that I would be covered under my own fully comprehensive policy and that would cover the cost of the repair. I have since read the policy booklet and I have discovered that, although I am covered to drive other cars, we are only covered under a 3rd party basis.

Although my wife has her own policy on her car - I would prefer to have my policy cover the claim as it was my car involved and I have protected NCD.

Should the garage have its own cover in place for such situations..? I remember that when I took a test drive with the company (different branch) I was covered under their insurnace but would have to pay an excess should anything go wrong - should this happen again..?

Any advice would be grateful.

Thanks

Vis.

I just moved to California, and my motorcycle is still back in my previous state. The bike was taken off the road before we moved. I spoke with the DMV, and they said the bike needs vin verification (in person) before I get my real plates / registration. My question is: Can my friend drive my motorcycle here (to CA) legaly if he only has the temporary registration?

I was hit by a 15yr old girl (who did not have a Driver's License). She was driving her mother's car (she later came to the scene). This was at private property. The police man gave us a report to give to our insurance. Geico told me to contact the other vehicle owner's insurance (which I did and they opened a claim). My question is, how long does it normally take for them to get my car fixed? They have a local insurance, not a big company. Also, if they dont want to help me, which I was at no-fault in this accident, what can i do to get the money to repair my car. All help is appreciated because this is my first accident.

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago... but that's a completely different story. The other person's insurance is refusing to pay for storage and rental fees until liability is established, with took a full week. I do not have rental coverage on my policy and I have a high deductable, so going through my insurance is not an option for us at this time, financially. Can I take the driver to small claims court for the money that her insurance company is refusing to pay (one week's worth of storage and car rental fees)? I am in Indiana. Liability has been established --- 95% thier insured. They are saying however, that from the time of the accident to the date that liability is established they are not responsible for anything. However, the adjustor that I spoke with on the day of the accident said that it would go retro, now she is saying that it will only go retro from the day that liability is established, which isn't really retro. I would ask for what they didn't pay, - less 5%
