And they are idiots who end up costing us all hundreds of millions of dollars. You drive uninsured, and are at fault in an accident, you are sued for the damages. If there are injuries, and you lose a suit for half a million dollars that you don't have, you cannot bankrupt your way out of paying, which means you will never own a house, or be able to buy a new car. If you inherit some money, POOF! it is gone to the judgement. Even if you don't have an accident, any damage to your car, such as vandalism, or theft of the vehicle, and you eat the cost. People are so hung up with the cost of the ticket for driving without insurance, they don't realize it is protection against the unthinkable.

neverchronic without coverage. it doesn't count number how a concepts you flow or how "hardly ever" you do it. An coincidence can ensue at any time and in anyplace. however in case you've been the perfect motive force in the international you would possibly want to nevertheless be hit by technique of a below the effect of alcohol or a baby might want to run into the line. Any coincidence will advise that you will be saddled with a (legally) countless criminal duty, a heavy advantageous, a criminal record, confiscation of the vehicle, criminal action to get better expenditures from the Motor Insurer's bureau; and once you ultimately did settle on to purchase coverage it would want to fee you a fortune. Uninsured drivers are parasites who fee another regulation-abiding motive force about £60 in holding with year. it is a levy on their coverage rates to pay for the expenditures incurred by technique of uninsured motorists. this is no longer a valid determination "do I take the prospect?" What about the different poor sods who might want to be your sufferers? don't be selfish. there are concepts of reducing the coverage rates, alongside with using a small vehicle, accepting a significantly better "extra"; and evaluate paying in month-to-month installments.

I agree with you! So is health insurance! If they didn't artificially inflate the prices of everything, you wouldn't have to pay the dumb insurance you could just pay for what you need. I've paid insurance for so long and never got anything out of it that I almost feel like purposely getting in an accident so I can justify all the money I've paid out! (I wouldn't really, but I feel like it sometimes!)
Everyone says "what if you're in an accident". Well, "what if you're not"! What if you pay insurance your whole life and never get in an accident and never have to use it? Think of all the money you could have used for something else!
Just because it's the law doesn't mean that it isn't a ripoff!

Insurance is peace of mind, protecting yourself from unsafe drivers, and making sure that if you have a HUGE accident, you are covered as much as possible. What if you accidentally hit someone? At least your insurance would cover as much as possible so you won't be in debt over a liability for the rest of your life. It is a necessity that you need for a rainy day. I call it a rainy day expense. I may never need it, but I'm glad it's there;)

Not a ripoff, just the law. Unfortunately all drivers, good or bad, are lumped into the same "basket", so good drivers pay for the mistakes of the bad ones.

It is not a big rip off. I'm sure if you needed it and it covered you you'd be saying "thankfully I had insurance!". But when you don't need it or something stupid happens to you that's when it's suddenly a big rip off.
