Case was re an rta. Problems have just now arisen as to which insurance company are liable. If as seems the driver was not insured are the rental company liable. Driver was speeding and drove through a red light.

I got into an accident with a public access-a-ride shuttle van. The driver is admitting to fault. Problem-- I have a suspended license, I was driving a friends vehicle, and its insured. But will the other drivers insurance refuse to pay because I am suspended? Do I have to involve my friends insurance in this at all? We would prefer to not have to call them.

Im looking for a first car, but being a 18yr old male, all the insurance companies just look at that, deem me a "Boy racer" and whack an extra £600 average to my insurance! (I know this as i did the research.) So im actully asking 2 questions
1) What is the best cheap/cheapest car to run?
2) What is the best insurer to buy from?

I dont really mind what sort of car i drive, so long as its not pink.

I believe my drivers license will be suspend for no insurance at the time I was involved in a car accident. Should I get a license in that state (Georgia) before my license is suspended?
I am deeply ashamed of not having insurance. However, it is my belief that I was not at fault for the accident. Unfortunately my state is a contributory negligence state. If I am found even 1% responsible I will be liable for a sum considerably greater than 1%. My foolish act has already cost me well over 10 thousand dollars, about 1/3 of my yearly after tax earnings.

I have to travel to work. I hope to avoid devastating damage to myself and my children.

A car scrapes along the side of another car whilst overtaking on the left hand side, it fails to stop and drives on.
The scraped car follows the offending car in order to get reg plate details, before the driver can do so the offending car slams on breaks to avoid being flashed by speed camera, the following car does not have enough time to stop and smashes in to rear of other car.
Both cars were speeding at the time of the accident. Who is at fault?

My sister in law is about to start a new car insurance policy, she has only ever previously been insured as a second driver on her boyfriend's insurance.
She had a minor accident last year in his car which she was partially to blame for, she thinks because she wasn't the policy holder when the accident occurred she doesn't have to declare it now she is applying for her own insurance.
I think she might be wrong and could get herself in trouble if she doesn't declare it, what do you think? or know?

My car was only worth around $2500 when i got into an accident. The accident was found to be his fault, and the cost of repairing my car will be just over the value of my car. How does this work now? Will his insurance company send a check for me to do what I like with towards another car? or does it have to be used towards the repairs of my "totalled" vehicle?

Im new to this whole "crashing" thing....thanks

I recently bought an old truck for parts for mine and it does run so I figure I can drive it to my house, but it would only be on the road for the day I drive it and then get parts removed, somebody told me my insurance company could temporarily cover it for that day, but does the BMV have something like that like a 3 day plate or something like that. I live in indiana.

My mother wants me to use a car that has PA plates on it and she is still paying for it. I live in ohio and would get ohio insurance on it. The problem is that in order to get ohio plates my name would have to be on the loan and the financial company won't let it be added without re-financing. Does anyone know if you can get pulled over just by having plates from another state and insurance in another? If so what would the penalty be?
Thanks in advance!

I'm 24, and never had a driver's license in the US. I plan on moving to CA in a few months and buying a car.
I'm trying to figure out what'd be better, get the license while I'm here in Chicago, or just wait for CA, buy insurance, take the exams there, and then buy the car.

1. Is there a waiting period before I will have complete driving privileges?

2. Does one usually need to retake the exams in order to transfer an out-of-state (IL) license into a CA one? Does it matter if you've had the license for years or weeks?

I got auto insurance w/ collision and paid the policy in full. After leaving their office, somehow the premium went up 70 dollars and they charged me for that. The next day they renewed the policy, dropped my collision, charging me for the renewal minus the cost of the collision. The charge for the renewal plus the 70 came to 606. They refunded the cost of the collision which amounted to 595 and applied it to the 606. At some point during all this they took the lien holder information off my policy. How is any of this LEGAL?

details:

I was in a wreck, I was driving in the opposite lane of this car, as I went to merge into the next lane over to exit, another car either sped up and prevented me from entering, when I noticed the car, I jerked back into the lane I was coming from and started hydroplaning, i spun on the road and and the other car started spinning as well and hit a third car, i ended up being stopped by the guardrail, as well as the other 2 cars....my witnesses say i never hit the car, (which is what happened) where the other witnesses say i did...what should I do, I was also issued a ticket for unsafe lane changing which i am contesting.

I live in AR. I had/have ins. on my own bike but was test driving a bike I wanted to buy. I was pulled over for expired tags and was ticketed for no insurance even though I had my bike insurance with me. I was told by the officer that it "didn't count" and that I had to show insurance for the bike I was on. This is a $340. ticket that I don't feel I owe. Any help would be appreciated.
