Just got in a car accident last week which was clearly my fault as it was only myself whom was wrecked. I got my license only about 3-months ago which is the sad part and am currently insured under my parents name with Geico. How do you think this will affect me, and will I become uninsured? I got the bill from the autobody and they said it would be about 12k dollars to repair which is what will definitely lead the insurance agent to feel the need to uninsure and obviously raise insurance prices. Anybody know what might be the outcome and if I'll be able to drive for a while??! :( Thanks

My son had his car written off about 3 weeks ago, the insurance company say they are waiting for documentaion from the DVLC before they will pay his claim out which they say they will, all is 100% legal and the car is not on HP, is this right or is the insurance company stalling for some reason.

I drive Commercial and school buses. Lately I've found it to impossible to hire on anywhere. I'm told that it's because of changes to the Regulations. Can anyone explain why?

I didn't realize my registration had expired until the cop pulled me over and handed me a $54 ticket for driving unregistered car. Expired in June! Thanked him for not towing away the car and drove home to park the car (since it was sunday ....had to wait for monday to renew it)..guess what? just two blocks away from my house, another cop pulled me over (this is another county) and gave me another ticket for the same thing despite showing him the ticket I got earlier and explaining to him that I was heading home to park the car! Can I pay twice for the same thing? Both officers said they were helping me by not having the car towed away...because the car should not be driven or be parked in a public street. So, what the heck r u supposed to do? fly/ship it? I could not pay it online because I didn't have the renewal form which usually has the PIN to pay online. Am i expected to pay both tickets?

My son was in an accident a few months ago in which the guard rail was damaged. He was driving someone elses truck. The state wants to either file this against my sons insurance, under the liability part, or for my son to fork over $5,000.00 for repair. My question is, will placing a claim raise his rates? He has had a couple of tickets since he was rated for this policy, including an open container, and I am afraid if we file, they will look at all this and either drop him or raise the rates through the roof. Any advice from an insurance point of view, or any other point of view would be appreciated. We are really just wondering whether it would be cheaper to pay the increased premiums or to pay the damages. HELP!

I want a drivers's licence. I'm 17 and 10 months old. I do not want to take the class at school or some institution. It is expensive. I can go to the sec. of state. When I go there will I be given a licence or a permit. I was told by someone that if you're 17 and 9 months you can get a licence. I live in illinois if thats important.
