I have installed a new oil pump, replaced the main and rod bearings, removed the hose to the external oil filter and plugged the hole in the side of the block where this hose connected to the oil passage and replaced the oil with brand new oil (SAE 30 WD), but none of these actions made any difference. Any suggestions what to try next?

Keeps coming on for the antifreeze/water level. I was told it was a sensor problem, but there is a leak under the car. It is getting worse because I have to fill it every week now. I am afraid the car will overheat. Is this going to be expensive to fix? My thought is hell yes. Oh yeah, the car DOES suck. No wonder they stopped making them.

I want a cheapish, secondhand 4x4 which is capable of rough, hilly terrain. Land Rover Freelanders, for instance, look a bit soft - more school run than offroad.

I'm not sure where to save money: is a high mileage unacceptable for 4x4s? I was thinking around 90,000.

I once saw a kick-*** Land Rover with a 3-seater cabin and an open truck style back. Can you tell me the model? Any other comments about what to look out appreciated.

It does fine when I first start it, after a while, especially as the day goes on and it gets hotter, it has trouble accelerating... It sounds like it's grinding.. once it passes 65 it's fine... The air conditioner also died... My mechanic can't find what's wrong; he says the transmission and the gas systems are fine; he hooked it up to that machine but the machine says the car is fine. At times when I'm stepping on the gas trying to get it to go, the check engine like turns on and stays steady, but next time I drive the car, it's off. It is due for an oil change and the change oil lights up, but my mechanic saw that and he didn't mention that was it.. Please help.. anyone?!?!

I'm thinking of trading it in even though I know i'll have negative equity w/ the trade in. =(

I am dead!!! My mom and Dads' Town & Country is old, a 1996, but my dad loves it. He keeps it looking new. He will never get rid of it. I am 20y/o and screwed up. I slammed the driver side door and when I tried to roll it up, the back came up. Not the rest. I took the door apart, and there are cables all undone, and I don't know what the hell to do. I don't have a lot of money or time. They will be back in three days. I called the dealer, they said $300.00. I'm toast. Can anyone save me from this death sentence?

I've got a 2002 Tahoe, with only 38,000 miles since new. A/C working fine then out of nowhere, cold air quit blowing, then a noise under the hood. By the time I was able to pull over, smoke was billowing out of the hood and the A/C Compressor was literally glowing RED HOT and sparks flying everywhere.


The car has never had a problem of any kind. Then this out of the blue - A/C never serviced as both front and rear have always been plenty cold once the initial heat is removed then with constant airflow thru the grille.

OK.. Guys... I can take it. What's the Bad News in this whole deal? How much hard earned bucks to fix this? Do I take the DEALERS word for it and just replace 'EVERYTHING' or question like I know something, which I do.. Will it in fact have to have new condenser, accumulator, expansion value, dryer and obviously a compressor? HOW MUCH?

Are there any in-line liquid line filters or suctions screens on this model Tahoe?

This morning i started up my 94 F 150 and for half a second there was a click but it started right up so I didnt think anything of it. After class, I started it up again, no problems but my pretuned settings on my radio were back to stock and the clock as well. I'm just wondering what that might be, any help is appreciated.

im having some trouble with my windshield wipers
when i turn them on and back off the keep going and somtimes the stop in the middle of my windshield and my wiper fluid motor does not operate all the time either
but it dosent do it all the time, kinda like the delay or relay switch is bad or going out
