The first answer pretty much cut it. The SE is the base model. Not many features, cloth seats, more plastic, more of an everyday or average car. The SE has more features, a little less plastic, maybe cloth or leather seats, and is a little more enjoyable than the SE. Now, the SEL has the most features, leather seats, the best material quality, and maybe more chrome.

Basically, they are different trim levels. The SE is the economy one, the SES has more features and the SEL is the luxury model with all the bells and whistles. check with www.ford.com and look up the differences in what comes standard.
