With a 4 cylinder Malibu you get 30 mpg highway. So 2000 / 30 = 66.67 gallons of gas X's 2.83 = $188.67
If you have a 6 cylinder Malibu you get 27 mpg highway. So 2000 / 27 = 74.07 X 2.83 = $209.63
So take the bus....

I own a 2000 V6 Malibu. Gets about 30 MPG Highway
2000 miles divided by 30 MPG = 66.66 gallons of fuel used
66.66 gallons times $2.83 per gallon = $188.65
Of course, your milage may vary

I would say about $360 to $380. It probably cost $40 to fill up a chevy malibu. The tank probably holds 14 gallons each fill up.

The price of gas will vary as you travel. If I was taking the trip, I would have at least $500 with me. For gas and food on the trip. Assuming that you will get 20 mpg, it would take $283 in gas alone.
good luck, have a safe trip.

An answer can't be given without knowing how many miles per gallon your particualr vehicle actually gets. Going by model says nothing. A poorly maintained vehicle will get less milage than a well maintained vehicle. Good luck!
