most cars are set up the same, save the places things are connected. Start by checking for screws, usually hidden by small plastic caps and most commonly found on the door handle, map pockets, arm rest, and around the speakers. A flat-head and Phillip's(cross)head screwdriver will more than likely be needed. After removing the screws, there are plastic push-rivets that do most of the works, and are found in 4-6inch spaces around the door panel. Using the flat-head screwdriver, gently work your way around the outer edge of the panel. Once you find a rivet, pry with equal force from either side of the rivet, the ensure you don't crack your door panel. Repeat on all rivets. There is a specialty tool that can be purchased at most auto-part stores the makes this easier. Lastly the armrest and window-crank(if manual) need to be removed. If it is a manual window its fairly simple, pop the plastic cap off of center, and remove the screw. If electric, the door handle with have a wiring harness connected, and you need be support both the rest and the panel while removing so make sure nothing snaps. Unplug the harness ensuring you don't break the plastic clip. More detailed, vehicle specific info can be found in a vehicle repair manual (not your owners manual) which can be purchased at a parts store for around $20

Well, here's what I remember. The plastic trim above the arm rest (the one that has the window switches in it) pries off. Then very carefully disconnect the wire connector at the back of the switch. This will expose a big screw that holds the panel to the door. Their may also be a bolt underneath the strap that you have to take out. I believe then the panel pops off. And some models have a screw located behind the courtesy light in the door. Just fry the lens out to see. If the door handle comes off, there will be a bolt holding it on from underneath. It's been a while, but I do remember you have to take off the big, plastic piece to get to the screw(s)

DISCONNECT ANY AND ALL ELECTRICAL WIRE HARNESSES.
LIFT UP AND PULL OUT DOOR PANEL.
