It was probably on it's way out when I bought it a year ago. Though I didn't help it much, pulling heavy loads and trailers. Just fixed the OD off button as well.

The owner's manual says in the transmission section, "Operating in Overdrive "OFF" gives more engine braking than Overdrive and is useful for ascending or descending hills or when towing."

But then in the towing section it says, "If your vehicle is equipped with an Electronic 4-Speed Automatic (E4OD or 4R70W) transmission, operate in Overdrive... When descending a steep grade with a trailer, operate in Drive rather than Overdrive."

So, I'm a little confused as to the best way to drive with a trailer as even the Owner's manual contradicts itself. In one section it says to tow in Drive and in another section it says to tow in Overdrive.

I have a really crappy 1985 Dodge Aires station wagon, and I just received a $20,000 inheritance from my Great Aunt. My current car has sentimental value because I lost my virginity in it. Is there a Ferrari kit for an 85 Aires station wagon?

My 2001 toyota corolla with the 1.8 VVT-I 16 valve has 107,000 miles on it.I pulled the #1 cylinder's saprk plug to look at it and see what shape they were in.I put it back in,it idled very rough, like it was missing a cylinder.I double checked everything, replaced all 4 plugs with the correct iridium ones, still did it.The iridium ones don't have to be gapped either. No check engine light was on by the way at anytime.I checked the coils again. It has 1 coil for each cylinder. They all looked fine.So I said fine,I'll drive it to the Toyota Garage. On the way,I throttled the piss out of it and the idle smoothed out and ran like a bat outta hell.So then I pull over and see if the engine idles well in park, and sure enough,it did.So everything's cool now,but I don't know what the hell was goin on with this car, what made it do that.I checked the service manual and there's no special procedure for takin those coils out or the plugs out.Just a torque spec on the plugs which I did torque them to spec

The bulbs have all been replaced and all fuses are good. What else can it be? We have heard of a brake light switch. What exactly does a brake light switch do? Where can we find one? And is that likely to be the problem?

What was the problem? I've also noticed my windshield wipers sometimes won't turn on high. I have to hit my steering column for them to kick on high. I saw a recall notice for wiring in the steering column that affects the HVAC blower. I'm guessing that's what the problem is. Any other suggestions?

I have a circuit Malfunction in my knock sensor, and just a malfunction in my speed sensor. What does circuit Malfunction mean? any ideas of what the cost to fix this would be, or could I do it myself and if so what needs to be done, I know a new one will cost 150$, I also wondered about the steps to change the speed sensor, which for a new one is about 112$, any ideas to change one or both of these ? or how much it would cost to get it fixed at a shop? thanks

I bought a 1991 Volvo 740 Non-Turbo Sedan. And recently I have been noticing that the acceleration in horrible. It's a four cylinder by the way, but still. When I am at a light, and I push the gas ALL the way to the floor...is takes about 4 or 5 seconds to acutally accelerate. And when I was trying to check the carb, I saw that oil somehow had gotten in to there a long time ago, but I don't know. So what can I do about the acceleration and the cleaning of oil off of my carb?

Thanks!
