The more power the easier it is to get the rear wheels sliding sideways. It takes practice and lots of rear quarter panels to perfect the drift and some cars like to slide all the way around one side more than the other. I recommend starting with a light weight rear wheel drive car with a modified motor. A pre 85 Celica, Corolla, or Nissan 240 SX but the SX weighs enough to want a SR20DET motor and more turbo on it. Cheep learning drift car is good. Then get a Pontiac GTO Viper or Corvette to take to the competitions. New cars with custom paint lighting will get you sponsorships. And you will need them. You will chew up a set of tires a night $250 each Burn a tank of gas $50. Wear out drift brakes $200 clutches custom interior safety equiptment racing seats $$$$$$$$$
