While available in all wheel drive the Sentra Chassis based Rogue is not intended for hard Off roading ground clearance of 8 inches. Buy a more robust Frontier Xterria or Pathfinder with V-6 and Four Wheel Drive. At Thornhill Nissan We received Our First SL Rogue a week ago. A front wheel drive car with all wheel drive option. Has a drive shaft front gear added on and a rear differential. Good for some snow minor mud and driving onto the sand a couple miles. While Nissan truck 4 Wheel drive is the serious stuff rear wheel drive truck with changeable gear transfer case real strong drive shafts and front and rear differentials capable of traversing mud rocks rivers dry creek beds sand mountains.
