I just bought a 2007 Toyota Corolla brand new. I'm loving it so far (junked a tin heap 2005 Hyundai Accent). It has the standard 36/3yr b.2.b. and 5yr powertrain. I hope to drive it forever, no plans to trade in. I didn't get the salespitch on the extended warrantee because I said no right up front to the suggestion. Now I'm wondering. Does anyone know what it might cost and if it'd be worth it? I didn't get one on my Hyundai because it was over $800 and didn't plan on keeping the car more than five years anyway (only lasted two; it was awful!) Before that, I had a Nissan, bought used at three years old, and pretty much had no warranty at all an drove it for eight more years and 120,000 more miles paying for the occasional repair out of pocket. Does anyone know what the Corolla extended warranty might cost and if they think it would be worth it?
