Just bought a '99 saab 9-5 that came without the keyless entry remote and was wondering if i could buy one on ebay and take care of it myself or if i had to bring it into the dealership and pay some outrageous prices?

Thanks

You will either have to seek out a dealer, or find an independent shop that has a Tech 2 unit with Saab software. It is a quick and simple task that we do not even charge for. You will however need to have ALL keys and tx's with you. Any key or tx will be forgotten by the cars anti-theft computer other than the key in the ignition at the time. If you will drop me a note as to where you live I will see if there is a good shop near you to have your car taken to. Good Luck

you could attempt to cycle the considerable interior the ignition from off to on 8-10 cases interior of 10 seconds, do not initiate the motor vehicle. After doing this the door lock might desire to cycle from locked to unlocked by using themselves. as quickly as the door locks cycle, press the lock or unfastened up button on the distant, the motor vehicle might desire to respond in accordance to the button pressed. i'm unsure if this is going to artwork in this automobile yet its extremely relatively worth the shot
