I've been having a problem that has been very hard to diagnose, because its so random, it happens on the road, but never in my garage when I try to fix it. It never triggers the check engine light.

It seems to be that every now and then the engine will cut out for a split second. It feels like alot stronger of a jerk than just a single cylinder misfire. Enough to throw you forward in the seat real quick.

It actually completely cut out about a week ago and wouldn't start up anymore, but I replaced the distributor cap/rotor at that point and the car worked again (although the engine sounds alot different that before and I think it might be lacking power. (gas mileage is still the same though) Anyways I thought that solved the problem, but its happening again. I've got all new spark plugs, cap/rotor, new fuel filter. The plug wires are about 2 years old, the igniter is about 2 years old. The fuel pump makes regular noise like its working. Any Ideas what the likely culprit is?

I have not experianced this problem since my 2004 Camry 4 cyl. motor has had Mobil 1 directly after the first oil change. The oil has always been changed at the 5,000 mile factory recommended intervals. Inside the valve cover looks like a hospital operating room. I did see a V6 motor apart at the Toyota dealer and the tops of the cylinder heads had gobs of grey / black build-up. A salesman tried to smooth my feathers by telling me that the owner was using 10-W30 instead of the recommended 5-W30. Personally it looked as if the oil had never been changed. Too many people are having this problem and I can't figure it out.

I test drove this Chevy Blazer LS 4X4 tuesday morning before school. It drove really smooth up until the car said low fuel. It had little fuel in it when I got it. the dealer didnt fill it up much. When the low fuel light came on, the car started jerking and lurching. I thought it was the road. But it kept doign it. And the rpm metter went up and down repeatily. Is this because it was low on fuel. It has 99K miles on it.

Heres a pic.

Does this car last as long or work as well as a Toyota Camry? Would you think it is better than the Pontiac Vibe? Do you think it would last longer than the Vibe? I've read that both companies designed their cars very similar. My husband thinks I should choose the Matrix because it's a Toyota and he thinks it would run better and last longer than a Vibe. Do you think this is true? Does anyone know the major differences between the two?

I've got a '01 Dodge Ram 1500 and some leftover money from my income tax return. I've gotten a tune up, oil change, front end alignment, and new tires these last couple days but now I want to spend a bit more on some sort of upgrade. Everything on this truck is stock. I was thinking perhaps a new exhaust system or intake because thats what my friends are telling me but I am clueless as to the benefits of them. I really only want to spend about 300 dollars here (I know, not much, but I am not looking for high performance as its just my daily driver and work truck). So... any recommendations?

What effect, if any, would the sale of Chrysler by Daimler have on the future availability of parts and/or service for a current (2005/2006/2007) Chrysler 300? Given that a lot of Daimler technology went into the Chrysler 300, would some current Chrysler models be discontinued and/or revamped without certain Daimler features? Would parts for 2005-2007 models become more expensive or harder to obtain?
