standard economy version had three on the tree,or a powerglide auto......70 or 71 was available with a turbo-hydro........but the super sport model,s were available with a m21,or m22 rock crusher 4 speed manual tran,s by muncie.

The 1968,69 and 70 Chevrolet Nova's Came with a three speed, M21 and M22 Four speed transmissions. As well as a Power-glide and a Turbo Hydro 400 three speed automatic.

Yes they did, they came with a 3 speed manual on the column (3 on the tree) and a 4 speed manual (4 on the floor), I believe they also came with a console shift automatic.

Yes, I had a gold '69' nova with a three on the tree, LOVED that car, some idiot at the drag strip blew into it, TOTALED it out, cops pulled me off him though( I was quite younger then). I paid a fine for beating the sh$$ out of him, HE got off with a small fine, and community service(it was not a ss, it was plain-Jane, didnt even have a/c, but with a built 327/powerglide under the hood,MAN, it was faaaaaast! (14.67 avg in 1/4 mile.)

YES I HAD 4 NOVES .MY 65 WAS 3-ON THE TREE MY 69 WAS A 2 -SPEED AUTO POWER GLIDE . BOTH 69- AND 70 WHERE 3-ON THE TREE ALSO LATER NOVAS WERE CALLED CHEVY -2S SOME HAD 327 ENGINES AND MUNICE 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANNYS THEY WERE VERY FAST
