Thank you for your responses. I should have mentioned that my passenger side airbag deployed. Are the sensors for that airbag also behind the headlights? Does anyone have an explaination for the deployment of one side but not the other? Thanks!

I have also checked for a bad ground. Keep in mind my car only has 45000miles and it's a standard 5 speed. Unfortunately my warranty has expired. Three year warranty came first and not 65000miles. At least the dealership explains.(PLEASE HELP) and THANK YOU.

Is it a good vehicle to have as an around town and travel kind of car, that would also be good on extreme off road adventures? How about storage space? Would it be ideal for camping trips? (i.e. enough room to hold everything and then some?) I have bad experience with Fords. Is this one an exception, or do screws pop out of this one to?

I am tossed between purchasing a new Element or a new Jeep Liberty, Diesel. I love everythng about the Liberty, except the extreem costs that come with maintenance on a deisel vehicle. I love everything about the Element except the clearance. Can the factory raise up an Element when you buy it upon request, so that it is more suitable for off road? Which would be better for me if I want a good around town vehicle, but would also be used for rugged off road exploration, between the two? Or any other suggestions for a similar type vehicle with decent gas milage?

Whilst cleaning my ignition system on my Hyundai Coupe 20 I accidently got some contact spray into one of the holes in the coil for th HT lead. forgot about it and turned the car and now no spark. Do you guys reckon that its just the coild thats gone or something more sinister?

I have an automatic 2001 Focus SE with about 42000 miles on it and recently I'll be driving and the car will downshift for a second or two and then shift back into gear. The result is that the engine revs up, and I slow down a bit.

I noticed this a few months ago and took it into the dealer, but they said they couldn't find a problem. I had an oil and filter change done at the same time and the problem seemed to go away, but recently it started up again. I'm seeing it at least once a day now (two 10 mile drives).

Any ideas?

I have a 1992 300CE with the 3.0 DOHC motor(standard 300E came with SOHC 3.0L).

The best I can get is 21-23 MPG, and I was wondering what are some numbers others are getting in terms of MPG(any year from 86-2006)

Thanks!

What's with cars interiors today? Fake wood, real wood that looks fake, mismatched plastics, etc.

I was in a friends 300C and could not believe how poor the quality of the interior is, same with incredibly cramped PT cruiser.

Test drove a Honda Civic, and it has a two-tier Tokyo-By-Night display that is a nightmare, and the speedo located on the RIGHT of the field of view(center of dash) is without the worst idea of saving on engineering/tooling cost Toyota could have done with the Scion XB/Echo. If the Yaris has it, then forget that too.

Anyone else notice this?

i have quite the dilema on my hands

as you read this keep in mind that im a teenager and i have about $600 on hand and could prolly manage to get a little from my parents.

my car (a 95 pontiac sunfire) just recently went to go for inspection.

i got some bad news in return. i need 2 front brakes, two rear tires, need to fix the driver side cv joint and the rear end is all rusted.

these are what i need to pass the inspection. however.... i was leaking antifreze and it seemed it was coming from the head gasket. he said he may be able to fix it with a sealant but then i would have to risk all that money put in to the rest of the cars repairs if the head gasket blows

i paid $1500 for this car a couple months ago.

should i go for all the repairs or just go ahead and start looking for a new car? :/
