Turbo Diesel Commonrail Injected.

The CommonRail is another way to get the fuel to the injectors. It allows better precision and thus can give better performance and optimizes the amount of fuel in the injection process.

Common rail Injection. It's a single fuel line running over the top of the injectors. The rail is very high pressure, and can allow five injections per cycle, as the pressure is constant and consistant, it allows more torque (Torque is how hard a vehicle can exert force, more horse power is no good if there is alot of resistance on the vehicle) You don't have to press the pedal so hard, less fuel used! More power left over when you need it!

I know that the td,stands for turbo diesel,but the ci,as far as my boyfriend knows(he's a mechanic),doesn't mean anything.It's just a series of letters to distinguish it from other turbo diesel fiestas.A sort of model serial number.Hope that helps, regards Elizzy.

Common rail injection = sportier engine with reduced noise and emmisions.

I think it means Climate - as in the climate pack it has - heated front windscreen etc.. Injection ?
