What's with cars interiors today? Fake wood, real wood that looks fake, mismatched plastics, etc.

I was in a friends 300C and could not believe how poor the quality of the interior is, same with incredibly cramped PT cruiser.

Test drove a Honda Civic, and it has a two-tier Tokyo-By-Night display that is a nightmare, and the speedo located on the RIGHT of the field of view(center of dash) is without the worst idea of saving on engineering/tooling cost Toyota could have done with the Scion XB/Echo. If the Yaris has it, then forget that too.

Anyone else notice this?

Don't know why they build 'em like crap inside---- they just do!!! I took a 300C for a test drive this summer and broke the whole mounting panel for the power window switches when I took a WEAK swing at a bee that flew in the open window. I was afraid to whack at it when he landed on the dash. Whatever..... they lost a $31,000 sale and I"m still driving my solid as hell Power-Wagon

I have no problem with the Chrysler 300C interior. The dash is soft and it is a nice two tone. All controls are easy to reach. All my guages are in my field of vision.

I'm on the other side of this one. I think the 300 interior is pretty nice, but the exterior is horrible! It looks like a cartoon car.

I drive a corvette. the interior is incredible. it has really nice leather seats, great gauges, a heads-up display, and more power than pretty much any other car on the market. get a real car, and it will have better quality...

im looking at new cars now, its impossible

they all look like stupid jellybeans, and like you said the interiors are boring and dull, unless the company tries to spice it up in which case its usually a horrendous failure as opposed to anything innovative
