Is it a good vehicle to have as an around town and travel kind of car, that would also be good on extreme off road adventures? How about storage space? Would it be ideal for camping trips? (i.e. enough room to hold everything and then some?) I have bad experience with Fords. Is this one an exception, or do screws pop out of this one to?

We have a 2003 Escape it has just under 40,000 on it we have yet to do anything with it but keep gas in it and oil. My wife drives this car like a sports car jack rabbit starts fast stops goes great. You can take everything camping but do not try extreme 4 wheeling with it not made for it the suspension is better suited for pavement however you can go off road but take it easy and try not to go on the Rubicon.. but over all great product we like it a lot. Our other ride is a 3/4 ton Dodge 4 door 2005 this is a great truck got it for pulling horses its great

The escape is only the best selling suv in it's class, has a lot of room for the size gas milleadge is good, haven't ever seen one with the screws popping out, we have trouble getting used ones for our lot, people who buy them keep them.

Don't know about extreme off road adventures though never had one off roading. But i bet they will hold there own.

Screw ups pop up outta every car. I know only 1 person who had one and it has been like (blah) never any problems, but it is not a head turner or super cool or anything. I thi nk it is cool that they offer it in hybrid, but then again would you wanna spend $30K on an Escape? Probably not. BE CAREFUL TOO B/C A LOT OF FLOOD DAMAGED CARS ARE COMING FROM THE SOUTH(AFTER KATRINA). BUY ONLY FROM A CERTIFIED DEALER, OR YOU WILL BUY GARBAGE!!!

Descent Vehicle: not a lot of room and under powered. I've always heard bad about them holding their value but??? who knows. We have a Pontiac Aztec and it has done us good. You can put a tent in the back of it for around $300 and it also has an available AWD. You can get a good one for around 16,000 including AWD and and updated body package( better rims, nicer trim, and a spoiler. The bad thing is that they are plain UGLY.
