I currently have a 4 guage amp kit with 8 guage distribution to my Alpine MRP-M650 powering a 12" Type R and a old Alpine MRV-F307 powering 4 5x7 100 rms speakers. When I install my new Alpine MRP-F550 with 4x90 rms will I need to upgrade my 4 guage to 1/0 or change my alternator which is currently 105 amp. Also should I power the sub amp with 4 guage instead of 8?

1 Get the people that can not chew gum and walk off the road! The DMV might as well give Drivers L. to retards and blind people! At least in my state you don't even have to read or speak english. Now how do they communicate with law enforcement... A quarter maybe more of the people on the road may not have the skill or training to even drive safely!
2 Ticket people for reckless driving when they cause people to "aggressivley drive/go to work, by going too slow in any lane other than the far right lane or shoulder. The people that do not know how to merge with out stopping-merge means merge not stop! There is a wonderful device call the accelerator push it and speed up to merge with traffic.
3 When people make turns stay in your lane!
One of the problems with driving in Northern Va. is that the roads are a free for all with no organization and know respect courtesy or attention.
4 Drive do not talk on the cell phone, shave, put on make-up. German cars used to not have places for drinks.

I found a sub with built in amp already in the box. Theyre Visonik brand. The has 500w peak power but only 40w rms power. The sub is 500 peak and 250 rms. I mostly listen to classic rock so i dont want my bass to completly drown out the rest but i want more bass and i want the music louder. So does this sound like something i migt want or what.

Shouldn't all these pocketbike questions be asked under toys? Really. They have more in common with electric skateboards.

Sometimes I only get clicking sound when turning the key. On 5th - 10th try, engine turns over right away.
- Battery is new, and fully charged.
- To fix this, I changed the starter with a rebuilt, installed new alternator, installed new battery and fully charged, new battery cable posts
- Problem is intermittent...sometimes starter engages instantly...other times, 5 -10 tries.
- Pep boys did full electrical diagnostic, found nothing (maybe doesn't mean much, tho)

Right now, I'm leaning toward buying & installing another starter (new, not rebuilt).

What is this?! Been going on for weeks...

Goodyear says it is discolored at 28000 miles. Can I just flush it by unhooking hose on bottom while pouring new fluid in and turning steering wheel til fluid is clean or is there a different procedure? Thanks
I dont want to damage it.

I am planning to have a custom ported box built for my 2 12" kicker l7 this weekend. I saw this box on eBay let me know what you think.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170168729761&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007

I might have it built exactly like that one. The problem is it only has one chamber and one vent for both. Do you think this will be a good box? I want my l7 to be loud and boomy. The dimensions will fit perfectly inside my 01 accord trunk. I am open to any suggestions. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

When i drive... I can drive my ford probe straight but the steering wheel is slightly uncentered (about 25 degrees).
Will I get into an accident if I keep driving my car like this?
I mean everything is straight though and I can manage to run on straight but will it have a complication like car being broke down and lead into accident while driving? because I'm trying to fix it tommorrow but I can't so can I still drive it tommmorrow and do the fixing next week?

We have a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. Check engine light came on today. Took it to Advance Auto and had them read it with their computer thing. The guy said it was the transmission solenoid.

It's the holidays and we have children so we really don't have money to fix it right away. Our van is running just fine. It shifts fine, it doesn't get hot or anything out of the ordinary.

Is it ok to drive to the store, my husband drives to work about 15 miles away. We don't plan on any long distance driving until we get this fixed.

1.Is it ok to drive???
2. How long will this problem hold out??
3. If it is ok to drive, what should we look for on the first sign on trouble?
4. If the "solenoid" does "go out"..what happens?? It will not ruin the tranny, will it? What probs will it cause?

Thanks!! Please on Mechanics reply!!!

Happy Holidays!!

for the past few weeks my turn signals have been either working fine or not working at all. But now it seems that they dont work more often than they work. I checked the fuses on the side inside my car and by the engine but they are good. what can be wrong i hate using hand signals besides its getting too cold for that now.

For my Shadow 600. Aside from turning off the gas, do I need to do anything? Disconnect the battery? I probably won't ride it for about three months. And this is in Dallas, so I'm not planning on any freezing weather. Thanks.

I bought a '05 Harley Ultra Classic and in making trips of over 100 miles I found out the stock seat is about as comfortable as a bed full of cracked walnut shells.

Anyone have any experience with an aftermarket replacement seat that's comfortable? Any recommendations on a seat that would be comfortable for my bony behind?
