I believe the fitting is the valve. If it has a larger round plastic collar arond the hose fitting it should turn and open the valve.

There has to be a valve. It is probably a pressure release valve. You can usually find it on a pipe coming out of the side of the tank, or half way up on the tank itself.

It looks like a little circular metal disk that can be flipped up to release the pressure. This will in turn, release the water.

I'm sorry.....it is hard to describe when I can't show you.

attach short and cheap garden hose.

beside water going in, what would anyone expect to come out other than the water you pump into it, i wonder.

must be a valve, sometimes they are operated with a screwdriver.
