i have recently changed the bullet for the exhaust system. usually i used 5 gear for driving even at low rpm, 1000rpm. now i must use 3 gear at low rpm. however the 1,2,3 gear peformance is better in torque and 4,5 gear is also better at high speed. what is wrong?

I live in Thailand and have a 250 cc Honda Phamtom . I am having problems in keeping enough charge in my batteries.
I have been to many Honda dealers and all they want to do is to sell me something but are not interested in fixing the problem.
I have fitted an extra battery but this is only recieving a trickle feed from the alternator and when I use the lights of a night and stop the bike it will not restart from the electric start.
The alternator is charging between 12 and 15 amps and the voltmetre is showing between 12 and 14 volts.
Can anyone come up with a solution to this problem

This one is for riders only. Suppose I've entered a right curve at the speed limit, and I find I'm drifting wide. The pucker factor is increasing as there is a tour bus coming the other direction...

What specifically do I do to avoid becoming a splat on the front of the tour bus?

Cost (The Fit is more expensive, but I don't know if it's worth it)

2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (P71)...I've seen a Mercury Marauder (pretty much same as a crown vic) with a Procharger brand supercharger on it...but when I get to looking for one all I can find from Procharger are Mustang superchargers. All I want is a Self-Contained supercharger for the Vic, but I cant find ANYTHING! any answers?

for ship to ship fights. do you guys have any tips on how to hit enemy ships depending on what ship you are using?

i already know that on battleships vs battleships you shoot for the anchor, but what about:

battleships vs cruisers
battleships vs destroyers

or

cruisers vs battleships
cruisers vs cruisers
cruisers vs destroyers

or finally

destroyers vs cruisers
destroyers vs destroyers

the difference in firing arcs and speed makes this extremely difficult and frustrating. any help would be most helpful.

I am about to have my first driving lesson ever in the next couple of hours.I'm 34 and have never driven before in my life.I'm not so much nervous,more unsure of whats going to happen on my first lesson.I'm in the uk if that helps,don't know how driving lessons differ from country to country.Any advice or tips on what to expect?

Optional:

Fabric and Carpet Protector
Paint Bubbling Coverage..

Should I go for the whole package or just the rust Protection:?

Also How bout a 3M hood protector? Should I pick that up for the 08 Rogue as well?

I always thought that if the handbrake was up and the e-brake light was turned on on the dashboard, then the e-brakes were in affect. However, my friend told me that I was wrong and that if you push the button on the handbrake while pulling up, the handbrake will not take in effect and that I would have to pull the handbrake up without pushing the button to make the clicking noise. Personally, I pull up without pressing the button, but I thought as long as the lever was up, the indicator light was on, then the brakes were being used. Please set me straight. Thanks.

I had asked about this earlier. However, I have a new development since then, so I'm starting a new post because all I can do it edit the other, and not sure if the question would be noticed, by the already very helpful people.Ok, so here's the issue:
The heater does start to blow warmish air. However, if the engine is running you cannot use the defroster. As soon as you turn the knob to either the defost/mix or full defrost, for whatever reason it changes to air conditioning and starts to blow out freezing cold air. After investigating this, while on the phone with my dad who is a car guy, we assume it's a "fan"/valve. So what would be the name of the part I need to get replaced, where is it located? I've tried looking on Autozone.com and Oreilly's for a heater valve, and cannot find anything like that. Also, I should mention that when you switch the fan to the 4th notch only(right before full blast) it shuts everything off. Wiring bad?All other levelsfine

I was driving in a lane that became a left-turn must turn left lane. The lane is clearly marked, there is no questioning it was a left-turn must turn left lane. I stopped at a red stop light. The light then turned to a green left arrow. I turned left. I completed the turn, and then was pulled over by a cop that was apparently behind me before I turned. It was dark, so I had not noticed him. I was fined and given a ticket with 3 demerits for not signaling before I turned left in the left-turn only lane. I had no record period. Not even a warning. I am not downplaying this event at all. I don't want people raving about how I am guilty or lazy for not signalling. What's done is done. So just don't waste your time telling me that. I want to know how to form a defense agaisnt this ticket, as I will be going to court to fight it. What can I use for a defense? I only want suggestions... Don't freak out on me and leave lectures... You have better things to do with yout time--I hope :)
