unless your car is worthwhile from a collector's standpoint your best bet will be to sell it here and purchase something that suits you there, new.
if your current car is of big three american manufacture parts and service could be a problem [notably oil filters] nissan toyota mitsubishi and the euro makes are all well established [diesel peugeot's seem to take the taxi life in stride] at least in the cities.
