I have rubgber strips that run down both sides of my rover 800 car roof back to front what are they for cheers steve

If u r talking about the rubber strips that run between the doors those r the weathering strips they r 4 when it rains or stuff like that i does not come inside the car... other than that i cant think of what else it could b.

The roof molding strips with trap doors were added for roof rack accesories. Check with your local dealer.

Those cover up where the top of the car was welded to the sides. Also serves as a water channel, does it annoy you when you open your door and water drips onto the door panel and on your leg. Rain gutters have been deleted for aerodynamics.
