I'm trying to judge them on the following qualities:
gas mileage
Size (Small on the outside, big on the inside)
reliability
Cost (The Fit is more expensive, but I don't know if it's worth it)
Babe Magnetism (How well can it impress the ladies ;)

THE FIT.

The Fit is much roomier and overall better looking. For the price of the sport model, you get alot of extras like alloy rims, paddle shifters, the wing.

I sat in the Yaris when I was shopping for cars and it just felt wrong. It's cramped and there's nothing special about the interior (unlike the Fit, with it's extremely versatile seat configuration). On the outside, the Yaris sedan looks like any other sedan and the Yaris hatchback looks like an egg. Everyone I've seen driving that cars looks uncomfortable. Even the average man looks like a giant in that car. In the Fit, however, there's plenty of headroom.

Also, Toyota has been experiencing some manufacturing problems and it has been a bit of a setback this year.

Reviews from reputable sources have also chosen the Fit over the Yaris.

In sum, Fit says, "I'm hip and cool", Yaris says, "I'm low on money"

Maybe check out the Scion xD? It's slightly more powerful than the Fit and mileage is about the same. Nissan Versa for a smoother ride.

All of those are close to equals in terms of reliability and occasional maintenance fee. while you're generally a city motive force, then the greater wholesome or Yaris gets the main suitable MPG (the Corolla and Civic are heavier, and so provide up-and-flow takes greater gas). while you're generally a street motive force, then they might desire to all be just about equals, because of the fact you have eradicated lots of the provide up-and-flow challenge. Civic and Corolla are slightly nicer rides, meaning much less sporty (except, of course, you purchase a "interest" version...). greater wholesome and Yaris have greater versatility, because of the fact the hatchback/wagon configuration provides greater application. between greater wholesome and Yaris, we chosen the greater wholesome for the better trunk and (i'd desire to confess) the sporty exciting-to-rigidity component. lots of the exciting-to-rigidity reward of our greater wholesome are transforming into (to me) hazards: the sporty sense potential fairly demanding suspension, and mushy brakes and steerage. i will cope with the suspension and steerage, however the brakes are so mushy I nevertheless have a perplexing time with them. according to probability the 2009 or 2010 fashions have mounted this? additionally, as quickly as we offered, they only presented black interiors: we are residing in the desolate tract, and black the worst colour, inspite of tinted domicile windows and a windshield shade...and since the component-curtain airbags (super risk-free practices characteristic in an get right of entry to-point automobile) are outfitted into the seats, we had to purchase specific seat covers that permit the airbags to establish. We found out we can not tow with the greater wholesome (doing so would void the guaranty), that's ok as long as we shop our previous Subaru, yet may be some thing which you will contemplate. uncertain if the different fashions you point out have an analogous restrict. not which you would be wanting to tow lots with the little engines in those automobiles! on the different hand, you ought to use cartop carriers. merely FYI: up till final week, we had a sixty 5-mile trip (one-way, all street) and averaged 40MPG. I anticipate our gas financial equipment to go through with our shorter trip, yet as a replace of utilising 500+ miles each week, we are utilising under 50.

Econobox mini cars that look like they were designed by cartoon characters do little to impress the girls. They scream this guy is cheep! Toyota and Honda entry level cars are ugly narrow tall headlights high up on the almost non existent front fenders. Chopped off rear trunk area looks awkward. Do your self a favor and look at the Rogue, Versa hatch and sedan and Sentra all from Nissan and under $22,000 Versa starts at around $13,000. Girls like Mercedes Benz, Mustangs Corvettes Bentley's And money boy do they like money!

I don't know anything about cars, but those Yarises are cute! I want one! The remind me of this "Smart Car" my parents drove in Europe.

What is most attractive to me, in a man, regarding his ride, is transmission: whether or not he can drive a clutch ;)
