How do i get the EMS into operation EEC IV mod
changed batt. left car for a week started first turn high revs 1700-2000

this could be down to a number of reasons 1 if it has an automatic choke this could be stuck or your timing might be out which could finally end up with your cam belt going not nice

The ecu sounds as if its lost its memory. You will need to drive the car for up too fifty miles (Not all in one go). This will reset the meory. Failing that try disconnecting the battery again and start over again.

Normal engine control has to relearn the base idle drive it around a while idle with A/C and electrical loads turned on in about 20 minutes the idle will be back.
