HI.

Just wondering on people's thoughts on purchasing a "protection" package for a 08 Nissan Rouge.

Including packages from www.finalcost.ca
Electronic Rust Protection ( not a spray) (definite)

Optional:
Xzilon Ultimate Paint Protection
Fabric and Carpet Protector
Paint Bubbling Coverage..

Should I go for the whole package or just the rust Protection:?

Also How bout a 3M hood protector? Should I pick that up for the 08 Rogue as well?

doubt that anything except the 3M hood protector will stop rust. I could not find Finalcost.ca? Ziebart would by my choice for undercoating Carpet and fabric protector go out and buy 12 cans do it the first vacuum job. Soak the seats several time and let dry and carpets too save the $. Sounds like what you have above is the dealership added package you can do much better shopping for those protective measures your self. Just make it clear you do not want your car dealer protected and you are not going to pay extra for there services.

i think electronic rust protection possibly is the same as the one they call (rust module)...it is powered by the car battery,it need to be installed, normally will be installed around engine area underhood and which is connected with the battery and is connecting with two piece of metal(which is used to collect the corrosion residue from the car)i think the package is come with 4 piece of metals,u will need to save the rest of two metals for the future when it needs to replace the old metals(which has been full of rust deposits)...I personally love that 3m hood protector,'cause it's really work compare with the hood deflector. Hood deflector looks nice, but has disadvantages,1/may be broken when car goes to those hi-power car wash centre 2/unable to wash or clean area under the hood deflector 3/will still got stone chips above the deflector....u can ask the installer, how much 3m they can put on the hood...I will suggest u to do it yourself (if u r handy)for those fabric, paint protection(they all are sprays) I find out the more u wax the car,the more protection on the paint,so why u need to spend extra money....
