I dont know what the hell that guy above is talking about. First of all, a diesel does not have 02 sensors, second, wash down rings?? fuel ignites immediately when injected into the cylinder because the air/fuel mixture is not compressed together in a diesel, the fuel is injected into the cylinder AFTER the air is compressed. (thats why a diesel has that knocking noise) 3% is not that much at all. actually its just over half a gallon per 20 gallons. If you keep it diluted to that percentage, you will be fine. just dont make it a habit, I would say do that at every oil change. It is a good injector cleaner. NOW LET ME WARN YOU, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. putting gasoline into a diesel is ILLEGAL due to the fuel tax difference and can be detected in a tank "dip". Diesel fuel tax is enforced by the DMV Motor Carrier Enforcement in each state. They could drive up to your vehicle at any time and ask if they can "dip" your tank, what they mean is that they want to sample your fuel to see if you are putting the right fuel in your tank for highway use. PLEASE, dont refuse their request, it is $5000 per refusal. gasoline can also be identified in a "dip" Just be careful and just dont be seen putting gas into your diesel wehicle.

NO! It can destroy the sensors (like O2 sensors) and can destroy the injectors. It may also wash down the rings and lose compression. You could be looking at major expense for using gasoline.
You may have heard from old timers that they have done this. The computerized systems on diesel motors are much more sophisticated that 25 years ago.

no, you must never do that. it might cause knocking sound that will destroy the engine in the long run. diesel engine have higher compression ratios than gas engines. a typical gas engine can have 8:1 up to 12:1 compression ratio while diesel can be more than that. gasoline will cause premature ignition if you try to put it in a diesel engine
