ford of any kind? don't you people do any research. the longer you people buy them the less likely that ford will make any improvements on their trannys. i ran a transmission shop here in portland oregon for 10 years retiring about 2 years ago and just before i retired i did a 5 year study regarding what vehicles we did the most replacement or major repairs on and 77% were fords and ford trucks and mercs. for gods sake you ford fanatics wake up and smell the coffee... ford makes the absolute worst transmission in the industry. when all of the other manufacturers average 1 in 500 or above that need major transmission repairs ford averages 1 in 150. better think twice about buying any ford product. just the facts folks just the facts!

I've always like beamers however my parents tell me that they are some of the most high maintenance cars out there. I talked to one of my friends who has had one for a year and hasn't taken it in a single time for a problem other than oil change etc. However I drive a caddy which requires work like 5 times a year and I don't see how it can get any worse.

The fans don't run and the van is overheating. The fans run if I supply direct power to the harness connection at the left of the radiator. I know the relay is right there on the rail but I don't know how to test if it's working properly.

I have a 96 Pontiac Grand Am SE, and lately I've been noticing that whenever my car sits a while (overnight) the first couple stops I make there is a noise that sounds like something is in my trunk..but there's nothing in my trunk and this only happens the first couple time that I come to a stop. It's coming from the back right of my car..my brakes seems to work fine but I'm not sure what it could be. Any answers will be very much helpful, thank you

I forgot to mention that lately whenever I start my car up..my gas tank lid will pop open..I have a lever inside my car that I pull to open it..well now whenever my car starts up it pops by itself..could these two things be related?

Hello Folks

I bought a old 1990 cr 125, I rebuilt the engine. But its got a nasty bog for a bottom end, Top end is fine. I took the carb apart and discovered the following, remember im not a carb expert.

The Needle clip position was at the very top
1st position, Accoding to the manual

Thinking this was my problem i set it to 4th and i blew a plug.
Stock accoding to my manual is 3rd clip position

The air screw setting had no effect on the performance.
Turn all the out, turn all the way in, middle same thing.
Just bogged

Now after ripping appart the Carb i found the
standard main jet number is 182
Stock accoding to the manual is 168 (Big Difference)

The standard slow jet is 58, Which matches stock.

I dont know how to mesure the float distance,
so i cant tell you what its at

So my question, is 182 jet causing my nightmares ?
Do you have a instructions on how to mesure the float distance ?
Also the Float valve has no number on it so im assuming their all the same ?

645 feet above sea level.

i notice that the cigarette lighter on my truck diren't work i check my fuse box and i found out that the fuse was bad i put in a new one and it work but now the fuse is bad again this would be the 3th time i change the fuse it keeps going bad the same fuse. it work the fist time i change them but it seems that when i drive the truck and check if it works it wont work i keep having the same problem pleasehelp me thank you

We had just bought a new car the night before. We drove about 100 miles home and about 10 miles total in town. the next morning....less than 24 hours after having the car, the left front tire snaps and we're sitting in the middle of the highway. the tow truck driver said it was the ball joint. The dealership is sueing saying I hit a curb. Even if I hit a curb, which I never did, would that really cause my tire to collapse like that?

i recently bought 03 accord ex and the radio is not working. the display does turn on and the time keeps flashing on the screen. The battery was also recently replaced. could it be that i need a radio code?...when i tried pressing 1 and 6 for code nothing happens. The car also has pioneer dvd player installed which works just fine. Could this be the reason for the radio to be not working? plz help

I had been involved in a car accident today, while i was driving with the speed limit, wearing my seatbelt with my kid in her car seat, this lady did not stop at the red light and hit me.It was pretty bad and we survived only because the car I had was a good one, all the airbags popped, front and side curtains.I had a Hyundai Sonata 2007, the car was 1 month and a half old, only 3000miles on it.The lady that hit me has car insurance, i have it to, we are waiting some answers now, but i was wondering if someone knows if i can get my new car back?So far it seems yes but you never know, the good thing for me is that there were witnesses that signed a report saying she did not stopped at the red light.

I have a toyota MR2 1990, i asked a questiona while ago about a problem with oversteer i was having. It was suggested to me that i might actually have a 1991 mr2 and the way i could find out would be to check the VIN number.
I checked my number (7a8h60k07960*****).
the 10th number (9), is surposed to show the year.. but that would mean the year is 2009.. how is this possible?

Ok, I just bought this car and have yet to get used to the concept of two keys apparently. I am blaming this on my "dumb girl" genes.

I inserted the door key into the ignition by mistake. Once I turned it over (why did that work anyway???) the car started but the anti-theft system kicked in. Now the ignition switch is locked. I can not turn the key back to "off" in order to remove it. I have tried starting the car, waiting ten minutes to see if the anti-theft system will reset, but that is not working. I disconnected the battery and reconnected, zip.

I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!!!
