be powerful enough to power my impact wrench to do things like remove axle nuts and pulley bolts? by the way this is my impact wrench http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/IR-231C.html

Your tool uses 4.2 cu. ft. min. Your compress produces 2.5 cu. ft. min. You are going to be underpowered.

rb---cubed got it right on. The compressor does not put out enough cfm. If you need 4.2 you should go to about a 5 or 6 cfm compressor. That way your compressor can keep up and not run as much. I use an 11 cfm 2 hp that I bought from sears.

That combo might do it, but if you are going to remove a crankshaft pulley you might need a 30 gallon and a 3/4 in impact wrench.

I think this is a bit small i would look for a bigger tank and more scfm . i know bigger isn't always better but u want your impact to work properly and u don't want your air compressor to run all the time. it would only use more electric and shorten it's life.

only a 12 gallon tank, I'd say it would gt overworked quickly.
