I am back again about this darn car. So, I got new brakes, pads, rotors in June. 2 weeks ago I got new calipers and now I hear that rubbing again when I step on the brake. The person that fixed it heard the rubbing after he checked but can't find the problem.
I asked someone else and he said it's because of the after market pads, he said I should have factory pads.
The rest is just guessing now even thinking of wheel bearings, abs and I don't know what else. I don't believe those last 2 things. I was told the brakes were bled because that may have been doing it but it's still doing it.

My friend who is a single mom has 2 kids and 6 cats is moving from California to Tennessee. She will hire a u haul to take her stuff. She will sit with the kids in the uhaul. She plans to attach the car using the hitch to the uhaul. She will then put two cats in one carrier in the car. When she stops along the way she will feed the pets. Is it safe to transport pets like this unattended. Wont it get crampy for them when they are two in one carrier for a journey of almost 34 hrs. Are there any laws that prevent this. I really care for those cats and have been telling her to give them to me instead of causing this trauma. I just want to ensure that such a travel for a pet is allowed under the law.

When a SportBike is twice as cheap, and has at least quadruple the performance. Harleys seem like a waste of money.

Block Casting Number is 3834810. I believe the block date code is G305. The stamped engine number is TI027GF. And yes the second character is a capital letter "I" not a number 1. There are no other numbers on the stamp pad.
Can anyone give me some help in decoding the number? Is it a 327 ? What horse? Was it a single 4-bbl? What did it come out of? Runs strong with 192-heads and a single Holley so I hate to toss it without knowing what it is. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 81 virago that sat for about 9 years. I push the start button and the oil level light comes on and the engine doesn't turn over. (chkd oil, its o.k.) So I hook the power straight to the starter and if both spark plugs are in, it turns a litlle bit then stops. Once I let off the juice and try again, it's the same thing. Without plugs it turns over fine, and with one plug ( it's a 2 cylinder) it will turn over but sounds kinda rough. Whichever cylinder the one plug is in, it will turn over, as long as both cylinders don't have the plug in. What could be wrong, and how do I fix it?

i was wonderin if you need a dealership license to open a used car lot, if its one of those buy here pay here things i didnt think you did. I was told that you can have a certain amount of cars on the lot before you need one but if you have over x amount then you do, how does all that work. I plan on opening a car lot and i would like some information about it because i have alot of questions. And if you do need a dealership liecense where would you go to get one in north carolina, where would you go to get the dealer tags and all that other good stuff to, thanx everyone.

I'm going to give my son the 1999 Dodge Intrepid we have, he is 16 and he is going to get his license soon. He loves to do modifications with cars...We already debadged everything for that clean look.....We sanded and spray painted the bottom half of the car black lol (there were many scratches, so the black spray paint hid all of them) but the spray paint is holding up good (even through two winters.) Anyways What else can we do to this project car, that doesn't cost a lot of money, i don't want him putting too much money into this car.

I have a hot dog cart with tail lights. When I turn my truck lights on (05 F150) the tail lights wont work. I can get one blinker to operate correctly, but when I turn the other one on, both tail lights flash. I seem to be getting power from two pins when I test with a meter, but one has no power ( even with the lights to the truck on ). I had a 4x8 cargo trailer and everything worked fine at first and then the tail lights did not work on that, just the blinkers and the hazards. Could this be a fuse on the truck? Sorry for writing a book.

The chain, when the bike isn't running, has a slack of just over an inch (up and down.) I'd like it tighten it in case it comes off on the road- just trying to be safe.
What is the optimal tightness and how do I achieve this?
any input is appreciated,
thanks

Its criminal that men should have to pay more for their car insurance!

It is also sexist!

How come for home insurance we all pay the same price?
oh yes its because "insurance is a lottery" why can't the same be done with car insurance?

I'm not a boy racer why should i have to pay more?

I saw on "Mythbusters" the other day that a standard, diesel car, will run off of used cooking oil without any modifications. But there wasnt very much information given. Can you put cooking oil AND diesel into the gas tank? are there any longterm problems?
