When I first started my 87 bmw this morning, the engin tried to turn but slowly died. I started it again but now it just makes a buzzing sound and won't start at all. The lights, etc., still come on and are not dimming. Could it be the battery?? I don't think its the starter because I'm not getting that tick, tick, tick sound that's usually associated with a bad starter. Spark plugs look ok. What else could be going on??

Thanks in advance for your help. :o)

This morning--Sun. Sept. 16--we went out to go to breakfast, got in the car and when we started it the fuel smell seemed strong. Thought nothing of it at the time but, after 2 stops, getting in and out of the car--the same thing. Finally, when we parked at home, I walked around it and the smell was most strong on the driver's side. We looked under the car and the only thing dripping was the a/c. It's a 2002 Chrysler 300M and we have never had trouble with it before. Please no asinine answers they are such a waste of time. Any ideas???

I drive a 2004 Mustang GT, The other day i was driving (highway speed 65mph on cruise) i had been driving about 20 miles at the speed without slowing down or excellerating and i saw some smoke behind me but i was the only one on the free way at the time so i pulled over and i could smell and see i was burning oil. I turned my car off and sat there about 15 minutes, i then started it back up and revved it and it smoked again but then it studdenly stopped and it hasent done it again sense (that was 2 days ago). My powertrain warrenty was voided last year because i put true dual exhaust on it (it passes emitions though) What do you think it was? Also it has 62K miles on it and it gets preventive maintance ALWAYS on time, last oil change was 1500miles ago.

I have a good fully charged battery, with the pos and neg clearly marked. But when I try to use it, it sparks big time. And the multi meter says the positive and negative are reversed. I may have charged it up this way on accident. Is that possible?

I was wondering if there was any cheaper manual/hydraulic type benders out there that would give me decent bends with out the inside of the bend flattening out or wrinkling? I am hoping not to spend over a couple hundred bucks on a bender so obviously theres no way i could afford a mendrel bender or anything, but I would like to get info from anyone else that has or does bend pipes and knows of a way to make decent quality bends in a fairly cheap way. I do want to be able to bend up to a 3" pipe with different thicknesses using stainless and aluminum. I am guessing the thinner intake pipes I want to bend will have the most distortion when bending. I know even a mendrel has a very slight distortion, but in my case I just want to get the least amount of distortion in the bends at a reasonable price. So is there any ways of doing this? certain tools/benders I should look into? Any advise from someone that actually does pipe bending would be appreciated, thanks
