If the light comes on, stays on, and the car continues to run without problems, then you probably have between 80000 and 200000 miles on the engine. If so, the sensor needs to be replaced, nothing more. Ford's light comes on at 80000; Chrysler's at 100000. Manufacturers are different, but it all means the same.

you have to take it and have them scan the computer ,and this will tell you what made it come on,and what to do to repair it,most of the time its just a simple sensor that goes bad, sometimes even a loose gas cap will cause the light to come on,but have auto zone or advance scan it,they can at least tell you what the code is that set the light and then you,ll have something to work with, good luck on it.

You search for a garage with a computer...that is the only way you are truly going to find out what is wrong with it. It is fairly new so i wouldn't mess with it if i were you. Most likely it is a sensor or something stupid.

look in the owner's manual and find how where the reset button is. vw's have always had this, since the early beetles.
