Whats a good first SUV for a 16 year old.?

Any SUV, big or small, isnt recommended as a first car for a 16 year old. SUVs arent as agile as sedans, so SUVs cant make sharp turns and it takes a longer distance for SUVs to stop. The driver also needs to be more careful and more alert when driving an SUV. Also, SUVs arent as safe as sedans and you probably will have to pay more for insurance and gas.

I recommend getting a small or midsized sedan for your first car. They dont cost as much to insure as SUVs and you dont have to pay as much for gas (sedans are more fuel efficient than SUVs)

Maybe a Toyota RAV4 or Ford Escape. Subaru Forester is also a good small SUV with AWD.

You can get a good deal on Jeep Grand Cherokee if you lease it. Find someone who has a Chrysler discount and they can give you the Employee Number. You'll be able to lease (or purchase) one at the invoice price. $230 per month with 0 down on a 27 month lease.... you can't find a better deal.

i recommend something a little smaller, like a Honda CRV. they are cute, economical, easy to drive, etc. or any smaller SUV; somebody on here was complaining about Jeep Liberty but my mom has one that she loves and has treated her great for years; that is another smallish one. there's a couple more. anyhow, i'd go for smaller and more economical. the bigger ones are cool, but i think they are better for folks with a steady income and who have more driving experience. (no offense! i'd say that if it were me too!)
