My brother bought a 2006 model, and engine light was on after 3 months driving. My sons have 1991, 1994 Camry...the 1991 never, 1994 once for a while. The 1994 one will be on and off by itself. I did find out, if you suddenly speed up the car, it will be on, then after a while, it will be off. Usually, you can reset the light by removing negative battery terminal for 15 sec, then reconnect. A walk around but not a solution if you do have some other problems.

LOL, they most likely reset your computer. If it isn't done when you have the oil changed, then the car doesn't know it had it's oil changed and will tell you to check engine because it thinks it should be time to do that.

Your ODOMETER !
I even think that is illegal!
You could just have a loose fuse -or nothing at all.
If your car is under warranty Insist that they find the reason.
Mostly those lights are a pain -------

It's a feature. The light comes on until you have your car dealer serviced and they reset it when they've done. Alternative is to remove the bulb.

I've been told (but have never done it myself) that to extinguish the light and re-set it: Press in on the little knob that re-sets your trip odometer(s) and hold it down for 10 seconds.

The light also comes on in most Toyotas when you don't properly twist your fuel cap closed. It's odd but it happens. Something about the pressure seal.

We used to call those idiot lights. Chances are the car okay. If the dealer has put it in writing, I wouldn't worry about it.
